Video Description: The video takes a look at the Zon Empire from a Televisions News channel’s perspective. Ayush reports the situation from the newsroom. He is accompanied by a set of correspondents who put forth the view of different sections of the Zon Sisterhood. Finally a probable solution is provided.

Solution Provided:

History has proven that no society can survive, or rather thrive, without Democracy. For a society to be successful, it must be inclusive in nature. For ‘’New Eartha’ to sustain itself, Democracy will have to be brought in. However, challenges are aplenty - threat to the Iron Fist rule of the Sisterhood, threat of a revolt by the barbarians, security challenges posed by the probability of the All-Powerful engine having a break- down etc. The system needs to go through a complete overhaul.

Firstly, the barbarians need to feel that they are a part of the society and the governing body. It should not be an autocratic government where the Zon Sisterhood take all the decisions. A council

should be formed which would have representation from the barbarians, so that their issues are heard and acted upon. Barbarians will also have 10% representation in the trading council to ensure businesses also thrive. This will result in more revenue for the Sisterhoood, which they can spend on upgrading renewable energy infrastructure. The insurance against breakdown of the Engine will be investing in fossil fuels temporarily, however there will be a cap of 10% to harness power through this source. This would prevent the over-exploitation of fossil fuel and thereby keep environmental degradation under a check. The power plants will employ barbarians so that the barbarians also have a steady source of income. To solve the problem of environmental degradation, each tree cut for mining purposes will be replaced by another tree planted.

These short term initiatives will help barbarians become involved in the society and the perceived threat of the military will be erased. Over time, barbarians will be allowed to enter participatory politics to guide policy and decisions to suit their needs as well. This would result in a sustainable society where both the Barbarians and the members of the Zon Sisterhood live in harmony.
