Transcript of ZODIAC TENDERS 2011-UK ZODIAC ANNEXES 2011-UK · Zodiac™ continually strives to improve the...
Inventing a market, developing it around the world, remaining the leader for over 70 years, and being recognized as the most emblematic brand, this is the story of Zodiac™ in the sector of marine crafts and inflatable boats.
It was in 1934 that Pierre Debroutelle designed the prototype of an inflatable two-man kayak and began, without knowing it, what would become a great industrial adventure. Three years later, commissioned by the French navy, he invented a new type of sea craft capable of carrying bombs and torpedoes: the concept was two air chambers assembled in a “U”shape, joined together by a wooden floor platform. The inflatable boat was born! The rise of pleasure boating and water sports in the early 60s gave a huge boost to this type of boat, and since then its future has never been in doubt.
The history of the brand is made up of a long series of important stages, but above all its success lies in its unchanging philosophy:respect for the sea and the natural elements, extremely highmanufacturing quality standards, anobsession for safety, a permanentdesire to innovate, and a global visionof the market.
In 2010, the English magazine ‘MotorBoat’ awarded the Oscar for the bestmotor boat to our latest invention, the N-ZO™, adding to an already long listof trophies and awards.

Zodiac™ n-Zo™
Birds of a feather flock togetherAt Zodiac™ we have always considered the spirit of partnership as an attitude that allows us toadvance faster and further. We belong to the bigfamily of boating, and appreciate just as muchsailing as motor boating, cruising as racing, and pleasure boating as nautical sport.
In recent years, Zodiac™ has been keen to associate itself with the most prestigious sailingevents by offering boats to ensure the safety of the competitors at the start and finish line of the most famous oceanic races. As partner of the Vendée Globe 2008/2009, Zodiac™ providedthe Organizers with sixty Pro Open 650 boats to allow the skippers to navigate in a perfectly safe space of water despite the huge fleet ofaccompanying boats.
Roland Jourdain, at the helm of his VéoliaEnvironnement boat, also chose to team up with Zodiac™, in 2009, sharing the same notion of commitment and high performance standards. In this same spirit, Zodiac™ is also the officialsupplier in 2010 of the Route du Rhum™ – La Banque Postale and will provide specific boatsfor the start of the race in Saint-Malo.
Because, by agreeing upon the essential values, we share the same ambitions.

Zoom Ultimate value for money
Made from glued structure STRONGAN™ fabric,
the Zoom range offers excellent value for money.
Its large diameter buoyancy tubes give it an impressive
load capacity. The truncated-cone tube ends provide
great buoyancy, particularly noticeable if you choose
a 4-stroke engine. Depending on size, the ZOOM
is available with a slatted, plywood or inflatable floor,
helping it fit in perfectly with your boat.

Cadet The most reliable compact model
Compact and easy to stow in a cockpit locker,
the CADET holds its own against bigger models.
Its progressive-diameter buoyancy-tube provides
improved stability. CADETs have an outstanding
lifespan and guarantee a high level of safety for their
owners. The thermo-banding assembly technique
ensures a perfectly smooth join between buoyancy
tube and base.
Choose your floor from an extensive range: the Aero
models are comfortable and light thanks to the H2P
inflatable floor. The high-performance plywood-floor
Solid series models have an inflatable keel enabling
them to plane rapidly and improving manoeuvrability.
Fitting the slatted floor in the Roll Up series simply
involves inflating the buoyancy tubes; stowage is just
a matter of folding it into its carrying bag, no need to
remove the slats.

Fastroller 285 Acti-V
Inflatable Acti-Vhul
l
Compact, boasting unequalled load-capacity, tough
yet elegant, the Cadet Fastroller range represents
the very best of tenders. Its Acti-V hull provides improved
performance without the need for a more powerful
motor. Its anti-drift fins provide excellent control and
crisp and accurate handling.
The CADET FASTROLLER comes as standard with
a removable quick-mounting thwart, “safe-clic” oarlocks,
an internally-operated bailer plus optional flaps that
improve handling by enabling the boat to plane quickly
but without rearing. Thanks to Zodiac™ technology’s
H2P concept, the boat is quick to assemble and can
be easily stowed in a bag.
This feature also provides
the hull with increased
rigidity that significantly
improves performance.
The banana-shaped
buoyancy tube gives
it an elegant and
streamlined look.

The Cadet Fastroller Neo combines
all the qualities of the classic Cadet
Fastroller with those of its Hypalon™-Neoprene fabric™.
Its rapidly assembled high pressure inflatable floor
and Acti-V hull offer comfortable handling and greatly
improve performance of the vessel and its engine.
Control is easier thanks to its anti-drift fins.
The elegant and stylish lines of its banana-shaped
buoyancy tube, made of Hypalon™-Neoprene™
fabric, offers excellent resistance to extreme
conditions (tropical areas, frequent
use, etc.). Being more flexible,
this boat may be easily
folded into it bag.

Cadet Compact RIB in a bag
Thanks to its fold-down rear transom – exclusive
to Zodiac™ – the boat takes up very little space once
deflated and can be simply stored in the specially
designed bag.
This bag, with integrated handles, enables you to carry
your boat in the simplest way possible – on the roof
of your car or in a large boot. Setting up the boat is
extremely rapid: simply inflate it, fit the oars and launch it!
Very light thanks to its RIMTEC (Reinforced Injection
Moulding Technology)* manufacturing process, its hull
makes it comfortable and stable as well as providing
excellent handling on the water. The large hollow interior
allows a perfectly ergonomic seating position whilst also
improving safety

Cadet Rib 260
Cadet Rib Elegance and simplicity
The tapering buoyancy tubes, which are wider at
the stern, make these RIB tenders better suited to
the more reliable and easy to use four-stroke motors.
The additional buoyancy associated with a padded*
hull, provides the Cadet Rib with an impressive load
capacity 50% higher than that for a traditional tender.
The wide diameter of its truncated-cone buoyancy
tube ensures surprising stability, making it easy to steer,
even in choppy seas.
Its generous seating, flat deck (enabling a console
to be fitted on the 310, 340 and 400 models) as well as
the bow storage locker* make it uniquely comfortable,
plus very easy to board and disembark.

ENGINESIndicated measurements may vary by +/- 3%, or +/- 5% for weight and speed measurements.(1) Maximum permitted load is calculated using ISO standards. Caution is advised when operating fully laden boats.(2) Recommended power is based on optimal use of the boat’s abilities under average load. Depending on use, choose either maximum (waterskiing)
or minimum power (fishing, cruising).(3) The manufacturer’s plate specifies maximum permitted power. The power of your boat must not exceed this under any circumstances.(4) Maximum permitted weight: dry weight, according to motor manufacturers’ catalogue specifications.(5) Maximum speeds are intended as a guide only; they were measured in ideal conditions by professional pilots with one person aboard. They
may vary according to make of motor, boat load, propeller type and water conditions.(6) Models in this catalogue are sometimes shown with optional accessories. Please check standard equipment supplied with each model and see yourreseller for any additional equipment.
