2003 Zinc Zinc I 1700 ZnSe Semiconductor Hollow Microspheres. — Monodispersed ZnSe hollow micro- spheres are synthesized from aqueous solutions of ZnSO 4 , Na 2 SeO 3 , NaOH, and N 2 H 4 (autoclave, 100, 140, and 180 °C, 2 h). The samples are characterized by powder XRD, SEM, UV/VIS, and photoluminescence spectroscopy. The hollow nature together with the tunable interior nanocrystal size of these microspheres make them ideal entities for incorporation or surface modification, which might bring novel optical, electronic, and magnetic properties. — (PENG, Q.; DONG, Y.; LI*, Y.; Angew.
