ZLife and XPLAN Data Feeds User Guide

To make life easy we have created a short user guide to help you set up your data feed in ZLife and to register your details into XPLAN.

This user guide contains details on the following:

• New Data Feed registration and confirmation via ZLife

• Registering in XPLAN

New registrationThe first page in this process describes the steps you are recommended to take before proceeding with the data feed registration.

Select the date you would like the data feed to commence (the end date is optional), and your Financial Planning Software (FPS) provider. Click Submit to confirm your registration.

New registration confirmationYou will be presented with details which will confirm that the data feed registration process has successfully completed.

You will also receive the following confirmation email from ZLife to confirm that the data feed has been successfully registered.

Registering in XPLANYour username and password credentials provided by ZLife will need to be stored safely as they will need to be entered into XPLAN.

Please contact your XPLAN site administrator with the following information so they can set up the Zurich data feed for you.

If you have misplaced these details refer to step 3.

If you have more than one Zurich adviser code, you will need to repeat the registration for each code.

In the case of multiple adviser codes: although only one registration was required in ZLife, one XPLAN registration must be made separately for each adviser code.

This username and password are those created during the ZLife registration process.

Cancelling your Data Feed serviceIf you would like to cancel your Data Feed service please follow the steps below.

Select Tools on the top navigation bar, and then select Data Feed access from the drop down menu. Select Cancel my data feed service from the options on the page.

A confirmation notification will appear, as illustrated below.

You will also receive the following confirmation email from ZLife to confirm that the data feed has been cancelled.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)1. Why should I use the data feed? To provide better efficiency for the management of your

in force Zurich client policies. Zurich will provide regular data feeds in response to requests received from XPLAN.

2. What type of data can I expect to receive? The below list is a summary of a few key fields which you

can expect to receive but not limited to:

• Lump Sum Benefit

• Monthly Benefit

• Waiting Period and Benefit Period for Income Protection & Business Expenses

• Client Personal Details (Address, Date of Birth, Phone contact)

• Premium Structure

• Policy Status

3. How far back does the data go? The breadth of data will relate to risk proposals, all in

force risk policies and policies which have moved to an out of force status within the last 18 months.

4. Who should I contact if I have data issues in XPLAN? Your first point of call should be your XPLAN Administrator.

5. Who do I contact if I have difficulties registering for the data feed? If you have issues registering for the data feed in ZLife,

please contact the Zurich Adviser Service Centre on 1800 500 655.

6. How to change your data feed password? In the Data Feed Services – New Registrations, Changes

and Cancellations area, click on ‘Change My Zurich Data Feed Password’. Once you have entered a new password, a confirmation email will be sent to you.

7. If I have entered client and policy data, will the data feed overwrite this information? Yes, please refrain from manual data input as our data

feed will overwrite any pre-existing information.
