ZINFRA.BUILDING REPUTATIONS

When you walked on site at the East Lake Zone GIS substation, Zinfra’s approach to safety was clear – they take it seriously.

This complex design and construct project, next to the Jerrambomberra wetlands in Canberra, was governed by strict environmental conditions. Zinfra was vigilant in ensuring compliance was achieved throughout the process without compromising on safety.

It was such a positive experience. If all projects ran that well, you’d go back for more. The team operated with a true alliance mindset and worked with us to resolve challenges; there was no ‘us’ and ‘them’.

Working with Zinfra has taught us what an alliance partnership should look like. And we all benefit from that.

ActewAGL General Manager, Robert Atkin.

We have extensive experience constructing, operating and maintaining large-scale power distribution and transmission networks.

The Zinfra Team boasts unparalleled expertise working with gas transmission and distribution assets.

Sector Expertise.

We have worked on over 2,000km of gas transmission pipelines and associated facilities across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania, and on distribution systems totalling 30,000kms of gas mains servicing around 1.9 million customer connections.

Gas

Power

We provide a comprehensive overhead and underground distribution network capability as well as expertise in the engineering, procurement and construction of transmission lines up to 500kV.

The Zinfra team also brings a breadth of experience in design, project management, construction, operation and maintenance of zone substations, transmission terminal stations and power station switchyards.

Project Details:

This project was a complex, brownfield 22kV rebuild and transformer replacement.

Continuous power supply during the changeover was critical to conform to the client stipulated N-1 contingency.

The works included:• Replacing three sets of single phase

220/22kV transformers, each rated at 45MVA

• Removal and decommissioning of old transformers and footings

• Installing two new three phase 75 MVA transformers and new switchroom using GIS

• Major civil work, including undergrounding four exit feeders

• Interfacing new equipment with existing secondary systems.

Project: Ringwood Terminal Station Upgrade Client: AusNet Services

Project Details:

Zinfra constructed 800m of steel gas main DN100, Class 600, API 5L 42 pipe to feed the towns of Rockhampton and Gladstone. The new pipe had to be installed under an existing railway line, so installation, hydro testing and commissioning had to be done in a very short time frame to minimise disruption to the rail service and ensure continuous gas supply.

Project management, logistics planning and organisation were key activities to the successful completion of this project.

The project required: • Welder and weld procedure

qualifications

• Induction of construction team to both APA and Aurizon (rail) safety management systems

• Set-out survey

• String and welding pipe

• Horizontal directional drilling under the rail line

• Hydro testing and drying of pipeline

• Pipe laying and open trench work.

Project: Yarwun Gas Main Construction Client: APA Group

Zinfra provides a comprehensive range of project management, construction and maintenance services for water and wastewater infrastructure clients.

We also offer broadband infrastructure solutions for existing assets and for new property developers.

Our telecommunication infrastructure capabilities range from broadband infrastructure design, underground fibre laying and aerial fibre stringing through to testing, commissioning and hand over.

We deliver services across almost every aspect of the water cycle, including catchment areas, storage and pumping facilities water and wastewater delivery and distribution networks. Through our major projects and engineering group, we assist our clients to lead the way in the rapidly growing area of recycled water development, having recently completed the construction of AquaNet’s Sydney recycled water infrastructure.

Project Details:

This project is one of Australia’s largest pressure sewer construction projects, to replace ageing septic systems.

The project work covers the areas of Portsea, Sorrento and St Andrews Beach on the Mornington Peninsula, in Victoria.

The works included: • Using horizontal directional drilling

assets and capabilities, ensuring minimal environmental and residential impact

• Recording pipe locations using state of the art DigiTrak F5 equipment installing approximately 80km of 50-250mm poly pipe

• Installing man holes, valves, flushing points, connections to existing “live” sewer and dosing units.
