Another successful fundraising event in Geneva, Switzerland for the Zimbabwe Network for Health

On 2 October 2010 Zimbabweans in the Diaspora in Switzerland and committed supporters to the

cause came together again at the Holy Trinity Church Hall in Geneva to express their support and

display their generosity.

ZimHealth-Europe is pleased to report that

donations and purchases of the items that

were on sale and on auction during the

function raised about 2,400 Swiss francs.

Donations made towards the food, bar takings

and the sale of T-shirts raised about 3,785

Swiss francs. This gave a total of 6,185 Swiss

francs. US$ 69.29 was received in cash at the

function. A further 673 Swiss francs was

received via postal orders. Donations were

also received through PayPal to the amount of

US$ 576.18. We are aware of other pledges that are still being made and coming in. We estimate

that the final total figure of donations for this event will be just over 10,000 Swiss francs. When we

have compiled all the donations we will issue another note for information to update you all.

ZimHealth would like to extend its gratitude to

the authorities at the Holy Trinity Church for

availing the Hall to ZimHealth at no cost as

part of the Church’s donation to the cause.

We would like to thank all those who

contributed to the success of the event in one

way or another, ranging from donating and

cooking the food, serving the food, serving the

drinks at the bar, ordering the T-shirts,

preparing the banners and the auction, and

selling the items at the sales desk on the

evening. We thank all those who donated the items that were put on the sales table and on auction.

We thank our photographers, ushers and all those who helped set up the room and also those who

helped with the cleaning and tidying up afterwards. The list is endless! Thank you all.
