1. Greeting assembly

On May 23 we welcomed our guests from England, Austria and Slovakia.

We organized ceremonial appeal, but not the same like usually because it was held in two languages:

English and Polish.

Polish tradition tells: guests are welcomed with bread and salt.

Of course, during the ceremony were flags and we sang anthems of all countries from which they come.

In the meantime, our school friends told us their memories and experiences from a trip to England, which

took place in January.

Although we were very stressed that appeal was great, and our guests loved it.

2. Visit in the Town Hall ( Dzikowiec Ski Lift)

Then we went on a trip. First we went to the town hall in Boguszów where our mayor Waldemar Kujawa

and Mr. Marian Pierzynka greeted our guests. Our city authorities told our project partners about what

is happening in our city and it's history. At the end we had a delicious cake. Then we went by skilift on

the mountain Dzikowiec. We were very pleased because most of us are doing it for the first time.

The British, Austrians and Slovaks loved the landscape.

We took a lots of pictures, and became acquainted with our friends whom we knew only online.

3. Art Workshops ( making 3D map)

On the 23rd May 2013 in the afternoon hours in our school the workshops were held with students from

England and Slovakia. The main task was to create the map of Poland.

We were divided into two groups. One group made the north part of Poland and the other group made

the south part of Poland.

After that we joined both parts of the board together and we labeled different towns of Poland, in which

you will find UNESCO. While we were creating the map, we could help ourselves to any cakes and lots of

other delicious snacks.

4. Students on the lessons

On the 24th May 2013 from 9 in the morning students from England and Slovakia were welcomed into

our lessons. The first lesson was geography where we got a map of Europe and our task was to find

particular cities, rivers, upland and plain.

The second lesson was biology, where we measured our heart rate, while doing squats and pressing our

veins.

The last lesson we had together was Polish where we made analysis of poems, and after that we

translated them into English and Slovakian.

After all the lessons the students and teachers went for dinner together.

5. European Picnic

During the Comenius visit on the 24th May the European Picnic took place. This year’s picnic was

celebrated together with our partners. During European Picnic there were many attractions. We watched

ecological show, dancing performances and football match involving participants from England and our

group. We won this match 6‐1. During break everyone could take part in the lottery.

6. Barbecue and party

After the European Picnic we went to a barbecue party. We were there about two hours. We ate sausages

and drank hot tea. After the barbecue we vent to a “party”. Party was from 7p.m. to 9 p.m. Then we

went home.

7. A trip to Kraków and Wieliczka, Zakopane, Kalwaria Zebrzydowska

We started our trip on 25th of May at 4.20 am. First day we spent in Cracow and Wieliczka. Cracow is

the second largest city of Poland. We visited main Market Square Bavbican, St Mary’s and Wawel Castle.

Next in the afternoon we travelled to Wieliczka, a town which is situated near Cracow. Wieliczka is famous

for its salt mine.

Our accommodation was in Zakopane. Zakopane offered us traditional Polish cuisine and comfortable

rooms at highlanders. We have lots of attractions here. Next day we visited Zakopane, mainly Krupówki

which is the main street have. The last point in our trip was Kalwaria Zebrzydowska with its beautiful

church. In the evening we were at home. All of us were very happy.

8. A trip to Wrocław and Świdnica

On May 20, 2013 trip to Swidnica and Wroclaw took place. It was attended by selected students from middle school classes, who are participants in the Comenius project. We left at 8.00 with the guests from Comenius project.

The first point of our trip was the Church of Peace in Świdnica. This is the monument which in 2001 was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This amazing building overwhelmed us with its size. Inside, we were able to enjoy the amazing frescoes, paintings and sculptures. The extremely valuable pieces of equipment are the church altar and pulpit. Also preserved historic instruments. Church of Peace in Świdnica has a rich Baroquestyle. We were all delighted.

Then we went to the Centennial Hall in Wrocław. This complex is one of the most desirable places for the organizers of major exhibitions, conferences, cultural events, sports. Centennial Hall was registered in 2006 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which highlighted the importance of this subject. Designed by a prominent city architect Max Berg, has been recognized as one of the greatest works of architecture of the twentieth century. Our attention was caught by an incredible multimedia fountain, which is part of the celebrations of the centenary of the opening of the Centennial Hall.

Then we went sightseeing Cathedral Island ‐ the ancient city of Wroclaw, and also the largest monument. Its constant rebuilding continues today. Modernization is to regain its former glory and has served for many years. This great team of religious architecture looks very impressive. We saw also Tumski Bridge also known as the Bridge of Love because of the urban legend.

One of the most beautiful places in Wroclaw is located in the center of Market Square, which offers year‐round cultural attractions and entertainment.

Unfortunately, the running time inexorably made us realize that our trip is over. All project partners were sad because their stay in Poland finished. We went to the airport to say goodbye there. We will never forget this trip.
