Rana terribiles: venesos is the ani-

mal most of the land, its venom can

kill 10,000 mice or 10 adults

Chavarríes: For his natural aggressive-

ness, its enormous size and its spurs in

the huge wings, these birds are trained

and used by some farmers to tend their

farms.

Eared Parrot

This beautiful bird is endangered nationally This

is due to the destruction of the wax palm which is

the nesting place of refuge

The Condor de los Andes

The Condor has been threatened by hunting,

deforestation, air pollution, water and food,

and the severe reduction of their food source.

Rainbow Tucán

The main reason why this species is endangered

is, intervention and destruction by man from his

natural habitat, the tropical rainforest, the sec-

ond leading cause of their extinction is his cap-

ture, sale and smuggling.

Spectacled bear

is in great danger of extinction due

to habitat destruction as they are

hunted for their meat and skin

Paramo tapir

The tapir is a species in danger

of extinction because it is hunted

by humans for meat, Indians
