Are electric vehicles the ultimate form of sustainable transportation?Do you think we are ready to have our parcels delivered by drones?Don’t you think "Nighttrain to Lisbon" should not just be in the movies?Do you really think a sharing economy will revolutionise the transport sector?
Our aims
“The horse is here to stay, but the automobile is only a novelty – a fad.” Horace Rackham in 1903
The business-as-usual situation of more cars, ever-increasing air travel, energy- intensive logistics, and publicly financed urban transport can no longer deliver the future needs of the transport and logistics sector. The transport solutions of tomorrow must focus more on time and cost efficiency, sustainability, and inter- operability instead of just on the growth of individual sectors.
The 2-year Executive Master in Mobility Innovations course offers an excellent opportunity for professionals working in the transport sector and related fields to qualify as Mobility Innovation Managers. These are experts who understand the structures, functionalities, and challenges of the transport and logistics sector, as well as their interconnections and future trends.
As a participant, you go beyond passive learning by working on a business idea or case-study during the course, in this way bringing to life an integrated vision of future mobility. Your project can either be introduced during the application process or developed together with the team at the Amadeus Center for Mo-bility Studies | CfM, ZU.
You learn to evaluate national and global mobility markets in order to generate and implement new business models. The interdisciplinary program covers tech-nological, economic, environmental, and social aspects of mobility as well as de-mographic and psychographic backgrounds of users. You also learn how the dif-ferent transport markets and sectors work; what kind of challenges mobility and transport systems face in a globalized world and in different cultural settings; how these challenges lead to new paradigms, and how technology can organize efficient and adequate transport and logistic processes.
