(Model VZ-7)

This tool is the flagship of Zebra Instruments’ tool line. It is an in-line diagnostic tool: connected between the unit’s control board and the ECM motor, it provides real-time information about:• Commands being sent by the control board to the motor• Motor feedback, including motor RPM, and CFM being pushed• Control voltage levels• Multi-color tap display LEDs• The VZ-7 also allows manual motor control by sending your commands directly to the motor

The VZ-7 Uses Simple-to-Operate Microprocessor Controlled Tests to:• Accurately diagnose exactly which component has failed in a variable speed system that isn’t working correctly• Assist in system setup by reporting motor RPM and CFM airflow as room vents and controls are adjusted• Allows easy adjustment of all available settings and options on ECM (Variable Speed) blower motors to obtain maximum comfort for your customer

ECM Replacement Harnesses• 3-Pin Module (VZREX)- Internal harness with plug is used to replace a defective 3-pin module-to- winding harness inside most ECM motors. Includes wires, plug, and three crimp-on connectors.• 5-Pin Power (VZPWH)- Replacement external plug and harness for replacing a damaged 5-pin power input connector. This type connector is used in a very large percentage of ECM fan motors today. • 8-Pin Arctic 59 (VZ59C)- Special 8-position plug and harness to replace a defective Arctic 59 motor connector. These motors are often used as evaporator motors in reach-in coolers and cases.

The Zebra’Dapter version has an in-line fuse (3 provided) that reduces the risk of arcing when connecting or accidentally shorting a lead. ZD002A 24” Fused Cord Set with Female Outlet and 3 Alligator ClipsWe all know a Tech who’s done it: It’s hot, he/she is tired, and they make a simple mistake when they hook up their cord set to get power from thecondensing unit to run the vacuum pump. The switch is thrown on the pump and - POOF - smoke comes out from the vacuum pump, rendering it useless. Zebra’Dapter’s socket glows gently when connected to 120V and BRIGHTLY if it’s ever accidentally connected to 240V. The in-line fuse also acts as a last line of defense for vacuum pumps and other valuable tools. Three different fuses are included for different protections.
