Our children’s choir sang his praises as part of our Palm Sunday Presentaon and, on Easter Sunday, we walked through Jesus’ last days on the earth and celebrated his life and sacrificial love for us. In honor of Mother’s Day, Zoe Kidz will be offering Muffins for Moms. As you come to check-in your child on Mother’s Day, please help yourself to a muffin and juice. Just a small way to say “Thank you, we appreciate you.” We will also be taking portrait photos of each of our children that are in aendance for the day as a special giſt to the special women in our lives. The mission of Elevate Your G.A.M.E. is to lift urban students (through mentoring) to higher levels in their Grades, Attendance, and Maturity to Empower them to be leaders who bring about positive change in their schools, communities, and the world. Elevate Your G.A.M.E. (EYG) mentoring ministry, has mobilized people from churches to mentor over 1600 youth in the urban communities of Compton, Long Beach, Los Angeles and beyond. EYG participants have a 95% graduation rate and many have received scholarships and have been accepted to universities. Level 3 builds from one series of classes to the next based upon where you sense your calling to lead. It also provides job readiness skills which includes resume and interview preparaon, along with communicaon and presentaon development. Registraon is free. Students who register for the 5 Saturdays Workshop and CSU Algebra Instute by May 16 will receive recognion during our Synergy Gathering on May 19, and a cket for a special lunch/snack on the first day of the program.
