His physical appearance:A midget

His place:Jericho,a trade route, many people pass that way

His name:Zacchaeusis a Greek name from the Hebrew, pronounced zakkay, meaning pure or innocent)

His work:A chiefpublican, or superintendent of customs

His economic condition:He was wealthy because of extortion

His weakness:Zacchaeus was a traitor

His strength:Zacchaeushad leadership skills; aggressive in his work

His social status:ZacchaeusWas hated by the jews

His spiritual condition:Zacchaeus’ money never satisfied the spiritual thirst of his heart

II. WHO YOU Seek TODAY

His desire:To get a glimpse of jesus

His struggle:He couldn’t see jesus

His action:He climbed upon a sycamore tree

His determination:He did what it took to see jesus

III. WHO finds you today

God’s desire:To seek and save the lost

God’s preparation:To pass your way and prepare a place where you can see Him

God’s action:Jesus looked up, and saw him, and said unto him “Zacchaeus, you COME DOWN…”

God’s determination:To invite and offer a personal encounter. IMMEDIATE: TODAY!

Iv. What comes to you today

The joy:Jesus found Him ! He had an encounter with Jesus! He received Him Joyfully!

The opposition:For the religious: He was a tax collector, a traitor, a sinner

The reality:This is what people see – a sinner, someone whom they hate; But this is not how Jesus sees him – he saw someone whom God loves.

The encounter:He met a person. He met Jesus. He met the Saviour of his life.

The change:He stopped thinking only about himself and how to get more money; but now he was giving it away. He repented.He wants to return to those he cheated, four times more.

Conclusion

TODAY…NOW IS THE TIME OF SALVATION!
