Between Cerro de la Bufa

and Cerro del Grillo is an

aerial tramway or cable car

with provides panoramic

views of the city below. This

cable car extends for about

650 meters, is called “El Te-

leferico” and was construc-

ted in 1979 by the Swiss. The

ride lasts about eight minu-

tes, but does not operate

when there are high winds

three naves with three main por-

tals. The main facade has three

levels supported by three Solo-

monic columns with flank niches.

At the crest is a cross. The first

niches are statues of the Four

Evangelists. The second level

has columns formed by shells,

acanthus and vines. The choir

window is found here framed by

stonework. The third level has an

image of Christ with two of the

Apostles flanked by salomonic
