Game Outline

My game outline is about demons that breach the world of man. There was no way of stopping them, until a Legend, your ancestor, Killed the Demon King and force their army's back to the realm of death, However times have changed and a new Demon King threatens to destroy the realm of man. You must find the Demon King and kill it to save the realm of man like your ancestor did before you.

In this game you must kill, loot, level up and repeat to win the game. Within the game there are bosses which are very hard to beat unless you have levelled up enough.

This game heavily realize on team work because this game is a CO OP game so 2 players are within the game. You can play this game by yourself however it will be a lot difficult so buddy up and have fun.

The reason why it is good to have a buddy while playing the game is that some enemy’s will be really difficult for one character but easy for the other, so in the game the players must target the enemy’s they are strong at.

EnemiesMy enemies are based around demons because my world is placed in Medieval Britain. In this time demons was one of the most hated things because everybody believe in religion. Demons are entities in hell which torture the wicked forever. The ideas of eternal pain weren’t like and hated in this era, which makes demons a good choice for being the enemy.

The colours I used were mainly red because in semiotics the colour red represents danger and pain. I thought that these ideas of pain and danger are good for my enemy because straight away you can see that these are the bad guys.

Game WorldThe game is based in medieval Britain because I wanted a place which would

fit knights, demons and magic. Medieval Britain fits this role because around this time (13th -14th century’s) the knight crusade was happening. The knight crusade was a holy war so the ideas of the enemy were demons were common. This also fits due to witchcraft. Witchcraft existed long before but in the late 13th century it became really popular. Witchcraft is women summoning and talking to demons to do their bidding. This implements the magic into my game and backs up the ideas of demons.

The design of my world is a medieval dungeon because my game is a dungeon crawler so this design choice suits well with the core game mechanics. It will have doors with long archways because this is how in medieval times made the area stable.

Character

There are 2 types of characters of in my game the Knight and the Witch.

Knight

As the Knight you must hack and slash your enemy’s as you are the melee character. You have your broad sword which cover a large area in front of you and your trusty dagger which attack all close be enemy’s. Your job is to get close and person to the enemy and show them whose boss.

Witch

As the Witch you must destroy your opponents from a far as you are the range character. You have your magic missiles which is a high fire rate bolt of magic and your devastating magic winds, which summons a massive tornado ripping apart your enemy’s. Your job is to stay away and bring the hurts from miles.

GameplayThis is Dungeon hunters which is my game. My game is a 2D action adventure game,

which I believe would challenge me throughout the creation and development of the game. The core fundamentals of the game is run, kill and loot because these mechanics are very fast paced so it will keep the players paying attention all of the time and to keep the game interesting. In the game there are two players each with their own ability’s and different plays styles which makes gameplay different because you don’t know what the other person will do so you will have to adapt your play style to complete the game. There is a inventory system where the players can put items in certain hot bar keys and cycle through them in the game. This means that the players could decide on their inventory to best suit their play style. There is a levelling system in the game which rewards the player with basic stats increases, which they can choose; this makes the game more diverse because you can now easily change your play style. This also helps the enemy spawn system. This is done by the game calculating the skill and compares it to the difficulty. Then it will generate a random number to tell the game what enemy to spawn and how many. This means that the game will get progressively harder as the players level up. All of these elements combined make each play through of the game unique.
