2. In 2011, the YWCA Girls Sports programreached over 390 girls between the ages of 3and 14. Classes were offered insoccer, basketball, and volleyball. The YWCA also introduced Super Sports, aprogram that introduces girls to all differentsports including field hockey and lacrosse. 3. 121 children attended YWCA preschoolprograms in 2011 In 2011 the YWCA established a scholarshipfrom the Andrew "Drew" Roth Foundation."Drew" was a member of the 2008 PlayroomPlus Class and died suddenly Nov. 26, 2010.The Scholarship was presented to a preschoolstudent. 4. SummerYouthField trips every FridayStrong MuseumDarien LakeFantasy IslandMaid of the MistFallsview Indoor WaterPark 5. The Lockport and Niagara Falls Summer DayCamps offered summer fun for over 180school age children in 2011. The YWCA School Age Childcare programssaw an increase in attendance to over 100children in 2011. 6. The Advantage Grant ended on June 9, 2011 for allRound 4 programs around NY State. This changedthe fee structure of the YWCA Advantage Programwhile keeping the same curriculum. Emmet Belknap has become a fee based site for 5thand 6th grade. Newfane Middle continues to be afree program thanks to a grant from the Grigg LewisFoundation. 7. 278 women and children have come to live atCarolyns House since 2005, forty-nine in2011. Six women graduated from Carolyns Houseprograms in 2011. Five residents have participated in thematched savings program in 2011. 8. Carolyns House New Director J Suzan Ben 9. Monthly luncheon served over 600 patrons in2011. The Catering Crew served 142 events in 2011. City Hall Caf opened April, 2011 The Catering Crew hired 15 graduates of theculinary program to work at the Airport Caf. The Airport Caf has grown exponentially asthe number of passengers, flights and airlineshave increased. 10. The YWCA provided shelter to 35 women and 40 children in 2011. 3 families moved to Transitional Housing and 1 to Carolyns House uponleaving. 320 non residential domestic violence victims have been counseled in2011 . The YWCA initiated the countys first Sexual Assault Response Team(SART), comprised of law enforcement, sexual assault nurseexaminers, advocates and prosecutors. 75 Rape Crisis Hotline Calls were responded to in 2011.
