The CIT Program gives participants the opportunity to work under qualified counselors to begin to learn and understand the responsibilities and demands of a counselor’s job. It is designed for those who are interested in learning about leadership, teamwork, and working with elementary school children. CITs receive community service credits for all hours worked. Enrollment is limited - sign up today! Applications are available at www.ywcabergencounty.org.

Arrive by 9:00am for opening greeting. After lunch, campers join their small groups to experience all that Camp Ma-Kee-Ya has to offer including science and nature, archery, sports and games, arts and crafts, free swim, and NEW this year “Taste Buds Program."

Our lakefront camp features spacious lawns, scenic hiking and nature trails, and daily American Red Cross water activities. We have dedicated buildings for science and STEM learning, music and drama, arts & crafts, and indoor dining. Our staff is professionally trained and a Camp EMT is on site. Campers bring their lunch and drinks (refrigerator available). Nut-free snacks are provided.

Week 1: DinosaursFun-filled week of dinosaur activities to get your kids roaring with delight! Rizzo’s Reptiles will provide a hands-on educational experience.

Week 2: America the BeautifulJoin us to celebrate the nation’s birthday with USA-themed activities each day.

Week 3: Around the World - International Day Take a journey around the world transported by art, music, and science.

Week 4: Under the Sea The sea and sand come to camp! Fun ocean-and beach-themed activities include a visit from NJ Sea Grant Consortium Sand Lab. Week 5: Carnival Kids of all ages will enjoy a fun-filled week with games, prizes, treats and activities. Week 6: Y-lympicsWork in teams to win the gold, silver, or bronze in our very own summer games. Week 7: Outer SpaceLet your imagination soar with out-of-this-world fun, crafts, and activities!

Week 8: We Can Build It!!Imagine, invent, and build everything from birdhouses to bridges! Also Challenge Island returns with exciting STEM projects. Week 9: Lights, Camera, Action!Center stage awaits you during this talent-themed week. Our Talent Show will showcase song, dance, and so much more.

Camp Orinda offers action-packed themed weeks with exciting activities to keep kids moving, creative, and engaged. No two days are alike! Activities include arts & crafts, game time, outdoor team sports, and STEM-based activities. Campers participate in daily American Red Cross swim lessons taught by our certified staff. Special events include Camp Carnival, Talent Show, Camp Y-lympics, and more! Campers bring their lunch and drinks—we provide nut-free snacks.
