HUMAN PUZZLE
(A word building exercise)
If your idea of a good sport is wordplay, this one's for you. Wear your letters and move around to create new words in a
short span of time.
No. of Participants: 7 per team
Time: 2 minutes
Rules:
● Each participant of a team will be given a letter of the alphabet.
● Each member will wear the letter, and move around to create new words.
● The team has to form as many words as possible with minimum 3 letters.
● Each letter of the word will fetch one point. The bigger the word, more the points.
● 10 points will be allotted if a word is formed using all the letters. The team with the highest points wins.
WAKA WAKA (Football Quiz)
Know who Edison Arantes do Nascimento is? Is 6th February a date marked in black in your calendar? Then come share the sporting passion and battle it out to be declared the ‘smartest’ sportsperson in
the city.
No of Participants: 2 per team
Time: 45 minutes
Rules:
● Participation is limited. First 8 teams to register will participate.
WHO’S LINE IS IT ANYWAY? (Identify the poet and the poem)
Was it Wordsworth or Longfellow,
Tennyson, Keats or Dahl? Who is this Shakespeare guy anyway?
No. of participants: One student and
one teacher
Time: 20 minutes
Rules:
● Participants will be provided with a passage, which includes hidden lines from famous poems.
● The participants must guess the names of as many poems and poets as they can.
● The team of two must include at least one student and one teacher.
● The team, which guesses the most, wins.
BLOCK AND TACKLE (A ‘debate with yourself’
competition)
This event makes you a chameleon. It appreciates your confusion and rewards
you for your inability to pick a side. You will be your own biggest
competition. Come, inspire the audience with your complete lack of convictions.

Time: 2 minutes
Rules:
● A participant will be provided with a motion.
● S/he speaks for the motion and at the sound of buzzer s/he speak against the motion.
● In simple words, you put forward a point, you defend it and at the sound of a buzzer you oppose it.

(Dialogue writing for comic strips)
Those with extensive experience as the class wit,
worshippers of Chandler Bing, come wow the
crowd with something truly toon-tastic. We'll
reward you, and not just with peanuts.

Rules:
● Participants will be provided with a blank
comic strip, with dialogues missing.
● The participants will then have to fill in
these spaces with witty captions and
dialogues.

WHAT’S THE WORD? (A word description exercise)
If you have a flair for language, and that’s the final
word on the subject, join in the madness at this unique event. Act, shout, scream, draw. Multi-
talented geniuses unite.
No. of participants: 6
Time: 2 minutes per round
Rules:
● The event is divided into three rounds. ● The first round is a Pictionary style round,
where one participant must draw to describe the word, and the other must guess.
● The second round is styled around the popular Dumb Charades, and follows the same rules. A participant must act out a series of words to his/her team member.
● The third round is a Taboo round, where one participant, verbally, describes a word while the other tries to guess.
● A list of “taboo” words that may not be used is also provided.
● A team must send two different participants for each round.
● In the given time, a duo must aim to score the highest by describing and guessing more words than their competitor.
ANOTHER SPECK ON THE WALL
(Graffiti making)

perfectly sculpted bod? Here we give you a chance to paint your own abs, or flab!

Rules:
● A V shaped cardboard will be provided to participants.
● Participants will paint “abs” or “flab” on the given surface.
● Materials like paints, brushes, or any other art material must be brought by the participants. Judgment criteria: Realism

your ideas, your vision, your design. Bring out the hidden Donatella or Cavalli in you,
and create a t-shirt of your own design.

● Participants may use any medium such as paints, crayons, colours etc.
● Use of text shall not be allowed.

team, and participants must edit
these.
● Participants must bring their own
laptops with their choice of
software installed.

THE REEL DEAL
(Movie Making) Budding filmmakers, unite. Think you have
a flair for cinema? Display your skill and screen your very own video before the
entire Yuvana crowd.
Theme: Will be revealed on the day of the
Contingent Leader meeting.

Time: 3-5 minutes clip
Rules:
● Participants must prepare the video film beforehand and submit at the time of registration.
● Video format should be compatible on Windows Media Player.
● Vulgarity and Obscenity of any sort will not be accepted. Judgment criteria: Content

THE ‘GOOD’ LIFE
(Product Designing)
Combine imagination, creativity and analysis, and weave your own dream.
Show us you’ve GOT the ‘goods’.

● Up to 2 images must be submitted per team
● Participants must click their photos on site on any of/all 3 days of Yuvana.
● Participants must submit their work by 3 p.m. on Day 2.

BAND\^/AGON
(Band event)
`Wow the audience’ with your raw musical talent. Shake the rafters with powerful
vocals and bring the house down with your guitar riffs…
Competition between school/
college as well as independent
bands. Band eliminations will be
held on Day 1 and selected bands
will move onto Day 2 to perform on
stage.

PROJECT RUNWAY (Style Act)
Put your style quotient to the test in a
freestyle fashion event as you sashay down the ramp, in the attire of your design.
DAY 1: Team Members will interact with students of other schools to participate in
group activities.

WE LIKE TO MOVE IT MOVE IT (Freestyle Dance)
Come let your hair down and boogie to the
music of your choice. We accept any form of dance as long as it involves shaking,
grooving and a whole lot of fun. Just make sure we have to call 911.
DAY 1: Team Members will interact with students of other schools to participate in-

● Choice of music and genre are yours.

● Participants can perform through any medium of their choice, for ONE minute on the main stage.
● Registrations will be on the spot. ● CDs must be submitted at the music
console.
The best entertainer walks away with the prize.

AA DEKHE ZARA (Antakshari)
Baithe baithe, kya bore ho rahe ho? Come put your vocal chords to the Yuvana test, in
this Bollywood antakshari.

WE BELIEVE (Awareness program through
performance)
Theatrics and community service combine in this socially relevant dramatic display.
Participants will prepare performances on pressing social issues.

COMMUNITY SERVICE
SMELLS LIKE TEAM SPIRIT (Rink Football)
Calling all future footballers! Think you’re destined to be the next Messi? Then come
join the craziness that is Podar’s rink football. A total of 20 teams in 8 matches
will play one of the most passionate sports in the world.
No. of participants: 4+2 members in each
team (rolling substitutes)Time: 5 minutes

Rules:
● First 20 teams to register will be accepted
● Preference will be given to school and junior college teams as against on the spot registrations.
SLAM DUNK (Basketball)
All you Kobe’s, O’Neal’s, and Iverson’s, this
is your place to be. Let’s see if you have what it takes to Maverick the Miami HEAT.
Go on, give it your best shot.
No. of participants: 5+2 members a side Time: 5 minutes per half
10 minutes per half (quarters, semis and finals)
Rules:
First 16 teams to register shall participate
24 seconds rule: A team cannot have ball possession for more than 24 seconds. They have to take at least one-shot attempt.
3-second rule: A player cannot stay in the opponent’s D for more than 3 seconds.
18-second rule does not apply.
No free throws shall be given.
Impromptu freestyle basketball related events will be conducted
in the break.
AAILA, SACHIN! (Box Cricket)
If not a million dollar cheque, and a hot
cheerleader, at least walk away with the cricketing trophy at Yuvana’s invigorating
cricketing event.

● 3 overs per innings till the quarters, 4 overs in the semis and 5 in the finals.
● The first 16 teams to register will be accepted.
● Teams are welcome to bring their cheering squads.
● Teams should be in uniform.
DA-BANGG! (Podar Roadies revamped)
Don’t have a body like Salman Khan?
Don’t have Sonakshi Sinha as a girlifriend? Shake it more like Ab Baby than Malaika Arora? Yuvana still gives
you your own taste of Da-Bangg! Fun. Fearless. Fierce.
Don't expect. Don't predict. Don't come prepared.
Time: Daylong event. Flag off: Day
2, 9.00 a.m
Rules:
● Each team should have two
members.
● No member is allowed to carry a
cell phone or any money
● Each team will be joined by an RN Podar volunteer to ensure that no unfair means are used.
● Money required for the tasks will be provided by the Podar volunteer.
● The team to finish all the tasks and reach the chosen destination first will be declared winners.
SPORTS
General Rules and Regulations
● Yuvana is about breaking stereotypes and keeping this in mind no school uniforms are allowed.
● Students must carry school/college ID card.
● On the spot registrations will be accepted. Participation to all events is on first-come, first-served basis.
● The decision of the judges is final and binding.
● Use of expletives and/or obscene language, any sort of misconduct will lead to deduction in the overall points of the school/college.
● Students are to report and register half an hour prior to the time of their event at the registration desk.
● Students are allowed to participate in more than one event provided that the timings of the events do not clash.
● Schools are welcome to send more than one participant for events categorized under ‘Individual event’.
● Absenteeism after registration will result in deduction of the overall points of the school/college.
● All materials provided by R.N.Podar School for various events have to be returned immediately after the particular event.
● All art work and products made by the participants is property of R.N.Podar which will not be returned to the participants.
● For all main stage events only one teacher will be allowed to accompany the students backstage to help them get ready for their performance.
● Each school/college must send two student representatives for the contingent leader meeting. The school/college will be informed about
the date regarding the same upon confirmation of participation.
● No parents are allowed to accompany students.
● R.N.Podar is not responsible for the loss of any personal belongings/valuables.
● Food and beverages will be sold at the venue. Participants may not bring outside beverages on to the ground.
