On the 4th of January our students got an

opportunity to participate in the Times Quiz

conducted by The Times of India in collaboration

with the Kalaignar institute of technology .

The students fro

m classes 8 upwards

participated. The quiz had two rounds

(preliminary and final).The preliminary round

was a written one where students participated

in pairs. It was an enriching experience.

On 6th Jan 2012 , the students of classes IX,X & XI attended a motivational seminar presented by Mr.Tarun shah, an international HR Trainer certified by Junior Chamber International, USA. It covered topics on the importance of team work and having a concrete attainable goal.Many group activities were conducted as a part of the program. He also shared tips to beat exam stressThis enlightening experience will motivate our students to follow their dreams.

SPARK 2012

On January 7th 2012 ,Eshwar College of

Engineering organised an inter-school

cultural fest named

“ SPARK 2012”. The event had various

competitions like Mock youth

parliament, Science quiz,

Mr. & Ms.Professional,etc.

Our children bagged prizes in

Mock Youth Parliament – IIND PLACE

visit to an Orphanage by class

VII students on 07.01.2012 as

a part of their value education

program.

The students of class VII were

taken to an orphanage. Our

children collected their pocket

money to provide lunch for

them for that day. They had

good interaction with the

inmates of orphanage, played

cricket with them .They

understood the values of the

ashram.

Field trip to Kurichi lake by

Grade 8 students on 11th

January 2012.

The students of VIII standard

were taken to Kurichi pond and

Coimbatore periakulam to

observe the cause of water

pollution .The pond was

covered with water hyacinth

and algae. Their growth was

stimulated by the sewage

dumped by the inhabitants

nearby. The children learnt how

eutrophication had taken place

in the pond and made it a dead

zone.

class VI on 12.01.2012

The students of class VI were taken on

an educational trip to Jagannatha

spinning mill near Annur.The children

were shown the various steps of how

cotton fibre becomes a fabric. The trip

was highly informative .

13th Jan 2012Held on

In an attempt to uphold Indian

culture and tradition, students of

YBPS celebrated the joyous harvest

festival – Pongal.

After the prayer song – the girls of

middle school presented a vibrant

dance which showcased various

steps of harvesting .The atmosphere

was filled with fun and festive

mood .The beautiful skits and the

dances performed by the students

were a treat to the eyes of the

audience.

This magnificent show ended with

the distribution of Pongal and

greetings of Pongal - O – Pongal.

Cheer and enthusiasm filled the air

on “KhelDhin“ when children of

grades I to V set out to play.As the

name implies it is a fun filled day of

games and sports for the tiny – tots.

children enjoyed every minute of the

day under the supervision of their

class teachers .Teachers had an

opportunity to evaluate the attitude

and the behaviour of students

outdoors.

Our students wrote

the 2nd International

English Olympiad

exam on the 18 th of

January 2012.

Children went to

Orphanage at Vadavalli –

Anbu illam on

21.01.2012.

The students of class VI were

taken to an orphanage as a

part of

value education

programme.They distributed

Geometry boxes & cricket kit

to the inmates of orphanage

from the pocket money they

had saved. They served

breakfast to the children and

had good interactive

session with them.

Our school conducted

Students Global Aptitude Index

test for students of class X on

22.01.2012.

A total of 53 students

participated.

2012. Our children Ipshitha XI,

Tanvi XI & Kiran Tony X along with

our faculty Mrs.Latha Iswar

attended the summit. Meeting

people from various backgrounds

has nurtured our students with a

lot of information.

was held at Nani auditorium on

30.01.2012 to mark the silver

jubilee celebrations of Shanthi

ashram. This event was attended

remembrance day of Father of our

Nation Mahatma Gandhi. Our

children Adarsh of class XI and

Pranathi of class X had a great
