What is Iridium?

• The Iridium Network was created to standards set by the US Military in the 90’s, and was used exclusively by US Government Agencies.

• Iridium eventually released the technology for the public to use, but low subscribers and high operational/maintenance costs bankrupted Iridium.

• Iridium was reestablished in the early 00’s, and is becoming the leading choice in Satellite Phone Communication.
