Program begins The Goodwill Youth Maritime Program is a two-year program which provides high school students with a smooth transition through their senior year toward a career in maritime. The program helps build strong soft skills and helps connect students with future career opportuni- ties in the maritime industry. Youth Maritime Program REQUIREMENTS: • Participants must be current high school juniors when applying for the program. • You must pick up an application and attend one of the required orientation session held in May. • Students will participate in service learning, civic participation, team building, and college and career readiness to prepare students for both their senior year and work. COMMITMENTS: • Two-year commitment to program. • First Year-Summer Session: Mon. – Fri., 9 am – 5 pm • First Year-School Session: a minimum of two Saturdays per month. • Second Year: Summer internship and up to four quarters of Mari- time classes at area colleges. TO APPLY: Application packets may be picked up beginning between at Goodwill’s Job Training and Education Center located at 700 Dearborn Place South, Seattle, Washington.
