Program begins The Goodwill Youth Maritime Program is a two-year program which provides high school students with a smooth transition through their senior year toward a career in maritime. The program helps build strong soft skills and helps connect students with future career opportuni- ties in the maritime industry. Youth Maritime Program REQUIREMENTS: • Participants must be current high school juniors when applying for the program. You must pick up an application and attend one of the required orientation session held in May. Students will participate in service learning, civic participation, team building, and college and career readiness to prepare students for both their senior year and work. COMMITMENTS: Two-year commitment to program. First Year-Summer Session: Mon. – Fri., 9 am – 5 pm First Year-School Session: a minimum of two Saturdays per month. Second Year: Summer internship and up to four quarters of Mari- time classes at area colleges. TO APPLY: Application packets may be picked up beginning between at Goodwill’s Job Training and Education Center located at 700 Dearborn Place South, Seattle, Washington.
