SPECIAL RULES(SPECIAL RULES APPLY TO THE YOUTH AND OPEN DIVISIONS)

1. Show Fees. Youth Division Show: $40 per head (includes $30 cattle show fee and $10 TLBAA fee)

Open Division Show: $60 per head (includes $30 cattle show fee and $30 TLBAA fee)

2. All animals must be registered in the TLBAA, must be properly identified by brand and PH number and must match the description on the registration papers.

3. A photocopy of the original registration certificate must accompany the entry application. The original registration certificate (or photocopy) for each entry must be available for presentation to the Superintendent or Manager of the Show at the time entries are verified prior to judging.

4. No grooming chutes are allowed.

5. Entries in these classes for this show will be accepted with the understanding that each exhibitor agrees to conform to the rules and regulations of the TLBAA World Show Handbook.

6. Bulls are to be shown with nose leads.

7. All cattle must be at least 120 days of age to show.

ANIMAL HEALTH REGULATIONS2016 SOUTHWESTERN EXPOSITION AND LIVESTOCK SHOW

The Southwestern Exposition and Livestock Show is an intrastate (accepting entries of livestock and poultry only from within Texas) show for Junior Division livestock and all poultry entries and an interstate (accepting entries of livestock from within Texas and from other states) show for Open Division livestock and horse entries. Exhibitors with livestock originating outside the state of Texas are encouraged to contact their state Animal Health officials to confirm specific requirements (if any) their state may impose on animals returning from a Texas show.

SALE CATTLE

TEXAS ORIGINA. Certificate of Veterinary Inspection issued within the past thirty (30) days.B. Must have approved identification for cattle; official breed registry tattoos or firebrands or USDA approved tags. Contact Texas Animal Health Commission for more information.C. Breeding bulls must be either thirty (30) months of age or younger and certified as a virgin or

be tested negative for trichomoniasis within the past thirty (30) days.

OUT OF STATE ORIGIN

A. Certificate of Veterinary Inspection issued within thirty (30) days of entry into Texas and/or show grounds.

B. Must have approved identification for cattle; official breed registry tattoos or firebrands or USDA approved tags. Contact Texas Animal Health Commission for more information.C. Breeding bulls must be either less than eighteen (18) months of age or be tested negative for

trichomoniasis with an official Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test within the past thirty (30) days.

D. Cattle from Idaho, Montana and Wyoming require an Entry Permit (see above).

THE FOLLOWING IS A SUMMARY OF THE SOUTHWESTERN EXPOSITION AND LIVESTOCK SHOW ANIMAL HEALTH REGULATIONS FOR ANIMALS ENTERING THE SHOW GROUNDS. IN SOME INSTANCES THESE REGULATIONS EXCEED CURRENT TEXAS ANIMAL HEALTH COMMISSION REGULATIONS THAT GOVERN MOVEMENT OF LIVESTOCK INTO SHOWS, FAIRS AND EXHIBITIONS. THESE REGULATIONS ARE CURRENT AT THE TIME OF PRINTING OF THIS PREMIUM LIST. ANY NEW REGULATIONS WILL SUPERSEDE THIS SUMMARY IF THERE IS A DISPUTE BETWEEN THE TWO. TEXAS ORIGIN

A. Certificate of Veterinary Inspection issued within the past thirty (30) days.

OUT OF STATE ORIGIN

A. Certificate of Veterinary Inspection issued within thirty (30) days of entry into Texas and/or show grounds.

B. Breeding bulls more than eighteen (18) months of age must be tested negative for trichomoniasis with an official Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test within thirty (30) days of entry into Texas and/or show grounds or have a Prior Entry Permit.

JUNIOR DIVISION BREEDING BEEF CATTLE

TEXAS ORIGIN

A. Certificate of Veterinary Inspection issued within the past thirty (30) days.

OPEN DIVISION DAIRY CATTLETEXAS ORIGIN

A. Certificate of Veterinary Inspection issued within the past thirty (30) days.

B. Must have approved identification device for Texas Dairy cattle; official breed registry tattoos or firebrands, DHIA tags or USDA approved tags. Contact Texas Animal Health Commission for more information.

OUT OF STATE ORIGIN

A. Certificate of Veterinary Inspection issued within thirty (30) days of entry into Texas and/or show grounds.

B. Must have approved identification device for Texas Dairy cattle; official breed registry tattoos or firebrands, DHIA tags or USDA approved tags. Contact Texas Animal Health Commission for more information.

C. Negative turberculosis (TB) test within the past sixty (60) days for all sexually intact cattle two (2) months of age of older.

Exemptions: 1. Cattle from a tuberculosis-free herd with the accreditation number and the herd

anniversary test date listed on the Certificate of Veterinary Inspection.

JUNIOR DIVISION DAIRY CATTLETEXAS ORIGIN

A. Certificate of Veterinary Inspection issued within the past thirty (30) days.

B. Must have approved identification device for Texas Dairy cattle; official breed registry tattoos or firebrands, DHIA tags or USDA approved tags. Contact Texas Animal Health Commission for more information.
