Preparation

We used schoolsacrossborders.org to explore many resources. Some of these resources were about our topic whilst others dealt directly with the conflict between Palestinians and Israelis.

We invited speakers to come and talk to us about their work in places like the Gaza Strip.

What we found out......

Israeli settlement policy constitutes a continuing breach of international law. The settlements violate the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination.

Violence against Palestinian people and property is on the rise and needs to end.

Action is needed to lift the continuing blockade of the Gaza Strip.

Our Awareness Day We gave presentations that taught about the

Israeli-Palestinian conflict and how it affects people today.

We gave short presentations about how Mount Temple encourages global citizenship in TY- we spoke about Schools Across Borders, our Ghana trip, YSI and our local volunteering programmes.

Our Awareness Day

We played games to reinforce the learning and held a table quiz with prizes.

We had two art stations where we asked pupils to use art as a medium to communicate how they felt about global citizenship and the topics they had learned about.
