AIRBORNE MAGNETIC SURVEY

Colour-filled contours of theresidual magnetic field

MAP 60 145

Ontario Geological Survey

This map is published with the permission of the Director,Ontario Geological Survey.

This survey was flown using Firefly's Cessna 206 magnetometer-equipped aircraft. The aircraft was also equipped with GPS

Residual Magnetic Field Map

The contours of residual magnetic intensity were generated fromdigitally recorded data. The magnetic data were corrected fordiurnal variations, levelled to the control lines and interpolatedonto a 10 m regular grid, using the bi-cubic spline algorithm.

was applied to the total magnetic field data at survey altitudeusing the 2005 model year extrapolated to 2007.09 (February 1,2007). A regional correction was applied to level the magneticfield to the Ontario Master Aeromagnetic Grid.
