Go on, tell us all about it. In fact, tell everyone! If you haven’t already, go to starlight.org.au and register your StarBQ. While you’re there, check out some great recipes to please the fussiest of guests.

Then spread the word. The more people know about your StarBQ, the more money you can raise!

You could send out an email like this…

Or...Print off your own invites, old-school style!

StarBQs are all about helping sick kids smile. So the more money you raise, the more smiles we can put on the faces of sick kids.

The best way to reach your fundraising goal is to ask your friends and family (nicely!). And tell people why their support is so important! (‘cos sick kids are still kids at heart and we can’t keep making them smile without our supporters - that’s you and them).

Here are a few fundraising ideas that have worked a treat in the past:

⋆ Ask guests to make a small donation to come to your StarBQ (no such thing as a free lunch!)

⋆ Not sure how much to ask for? See where the money goes on the next page.

⋆ Have a raffle or a lolly jar guessing competition, or guess the flavour of sausage. Gold coin donation per guess!

⋆ Have a best/worst/fancy dress competition and charge an entry fee.

⋆ Be enterprising! Ask your employer to match your total funds raised.

⋆ Have a donation box by the BBQ - no donation, no sausage!

⋆ Friends can’t make it? They can still donate online at starlight.org.au.

Helping sick kids smileDon’t be shy...

Save the date G’day team! Who’s up for a BBQ? This Friday at my place! In fact, it’s more than a BBQ – it’s a StarBQ. Which is what, I hear you ask?Well it’s a BBQ that raises money for sick kids – and all the money raised, every last cent goes to Starlight. I’m aiming to raise $250 (but more is totally fine!)And I’d love you to come. So here’s the deal. If you can donate the price of your one (or two) daily coffees, then I’ll reach my target in no time. Starlight relies completely on donations, so please dig deep for sick kids! You can bring cash on the night or donate at starlight.org.au.Thanks & hope to see you there!
