The United Arab Emirates, and Dubai, the trading and distribution hub of the Middle East/ Africa / CIS region, with the port and infrastructure supporting efficient logistics operations.

The trading volumes in the UAE has been on a constant increase over the last few years and the major cause of this rise is not solely due to the intrinsic demand in UAE, but also due to the demand for re-exports.

CNS IN THE UAETHE RISE OF A LOGISTICS HUB Re-exports are a very important measure

of cargo handling and warehousing in Dubai. It involves complete logistics solution right from inbound and warehousing up to outbound cargo clearance and reloading into ships and aircrafts.

It is observed that Dubai and Abu Dhabi are the leading Emirates in non-oil goods trade in the UAE by value of goods handled. Dubai has more than 80% share of the re-exports, mainly enabled by the Jebel Ali Sea Port, Airport and Free Zone as the key re-exporting hub of the Middle East.

UAE’s trade growth has fueled the need for shipping, storage and value-added warehousing.

This has had created a significant demand for Intermodal Shipping and warehousing within the Free Zone especially for the transit cargoes.

In line with the growth demand, Dubai has also witnessed growth in the re-export shipping infrastructure, the first of its kind in the world, an Intermodal Transport System: Jebel Ali Sea Port and Al Maktoum International Airport in Jebel Ali interconnected having only a single point of entry and customs.

to enable quick transfer of cargoes from Aircraft to Ship and vice versa within a span of 6-8 hours upon cargo arrival.

Executed comprehensive contract logistics solutions for high-value aircraft prototypes including supply of Manpower and Materials Handling Equipment. CNS Logistics customized a temperature-controlled dedicated warehouse, installed with secured caged & mesh structure and enforced high-end security, intelligence solutions & security alarm system integrated with Dubai Police and Civil Defense. CNS supported 24/7 expert handling and provided inventory management of over 80,000 part numbers of critical aviation parts, components and equipment.

Accomplished a cargo project movement of 29 power boats for Global Power Boats Racing teams. The power boats were exported securely from Jebel Ali Port, UAE to Genoa Port, Italy in CNS-customized SOC flat rack containers with in-built cradles specifically designed for the shipment.

Handled and cleared all 23,000 CBM of oil field equipment from Jebel Ali to Mostaganem, Algeria offering complete Logistics & Freight (ship charter) from supplier’s yard to Mostaganem Port.

Handled radioactive air freight charter movement from Houston, USA to Muscat, Oman for a major oil field service company. CNS has cleared approvals from Civil Aviation Authorities, Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulator (FANR), police departments, fire and security departments – to deliver the consignment safely.

Handled 6000 mts of G-Grade cement break bulk shipment from Germany to Egypt & Syria for a major oil field service company on Monthly Charter on Agreement (COA) for two years. CNS’s right choice of ships reduced cargo damages and overall cost.

Provided a major oil company a custom-made temperature-controlled warehouse for their solar turbines worth US$500 million. A time-sensitive project accomplished on the perfect time.

The largest Lloyds approved cold store in the Middle East is situated 30 meters from the quayside at Jebel Ali. Manned 24 hours a day by trained staff and equipped with sophisticated temperature-control systems, it offers space for 2802 tons of frozen food and perishable. Both non-racked and open rooms are offered with a temperature range of -21°C to +5°C allowing speedy discharge/loading of cargo.

Assisted single handedly in developing the logistics business in the Middle East, Africa’s and Globally as well as negotiating both commercial and financial terms for the joint venture partners. Mr. Sushanth was responsible for the supply chain and logistics activities of fortune 500 companies like Walmart, Nike, M&S, JC Penney, Verbatim, Security label (Suppliers of security baggage tags and other related items to Emirates airlines and other leading airlines in the region)

Mrs. Ishita Dhanraj is a MBA in Finance Graduate who has a strong track record of working for a major International Oil & Gas & State Oil company as a senior finance executive reporting directly to Executive Vice President of Finance & Commercials. She is responsible for managing CNS Logistics finance and commercial functions. Ishita and the finance department are responsible for internal and external financial reporting, tax management, capital and liquidity funding, risk management, insurance, cash management, transaction processing, internal controls and business development support, and pricing & contracts.

The person responsible for the growth & expansion of CNS Logistics is Mr. Ramesh Narayan he is currently the managing director of CNS Logistics. The visibility and presence of the company within the logistics community in the region has increased under his leadership.

She also has a proven operational expertise in SAP software project implementation within the specified timescales and budget controls.
