Overview InformationOverview Information

• From previous classes, we have learned that you will have questions early in the session that are answered in lessons later in the course.

• This can be frustrating for you if all you hear from us is “We‘ll get to that question later.”

• We want to give you a quick overview of the course so you can understand how the investigation process works and where your questions will be answered.

Overview InformationOverview Information

• We have developed an accident investigation process chart. It is located on the wall for you to reference during the class and we have included a copy on your Flash Drive.

 • The course is chronological in nature, so it

takes you from start to finish in a sequential manner, as you would experience it during an investigation.

• Here is the process (Exhibit 1-1):

• If you have questions that you can see will be addressed in one of these sections, please let us know and we will write them on the parking lot chart – or you feel free to do that during breaks.

 • If you’re not sure, ask the question…we

can always give you our standard reply…That’s a good question; we’ll get to that later in the class!
