The Odyssey Private Aged Care story

Almost 20 years ago I started on a journey to create a better model of ageing in place that offers a bright future for elderly Australians. It was, and still is, driven from a simple premise – it has to be good enough for my family, my friends and ultimately, myself.

This led to a fresh, new approach known as private aged care, where you have your own home in a resort style environment, couples stay together, pets are welcome, grand kids have sleepovers, and most importantly your dignity and independence is highly respected.

It quickly became the desirable alternative to traditional aged care and we went on to establish vibrant communities right across south-east Queensland.

Fast forward to 2019 and after a short-lived retirement, certain events inspired me to re-engage with one of my greatest passions – creating truly caring environments where you live life on your terms, with the peace of mind of having a professional care team right there if and when you need them.

That’s why Odyssey Private Aged Care was born.

I’ve invested my knowledge gained over two decades, brought together some of the key people I worked with along the way, and am now ready to once again make a real difference.
