Welcome to The Rescue Response Technique

So happy you’re here!

Before you read any further or make a final decision to take this workshop, I have to be responsible and shout out a WARNING!

~Warning ~

The Rescue Response Technique is addictive!

Once you’ve taken this workshop you’ll find

yourself summoning your neighbours dogs, your

family’s dogs, dogs in the park!

There’s no turning back.

You’ll never, ever look at a dog in the same way

again!

Your mission statement will become:

“Let me help your dog”

LEARN  IT  ONCE   HELP  YOUR  DOG  FOR  A  LIFETIME   IT’S  EASY!

Phew, you’re still here!

I’m excited.

I have so much to teach you…

The Rescue Response Technique (RRT) is created for you, for the sole purpose of providing mobility aid to your dog.

RRT teaches 5 specific “Moves” for you to apply in a safe, gentle, compassionate way.

Take this skill and use it with confidence with your dogs.

These five Moves will give you the tools to make significant changes in the health and mobility of your dog.

The 10 hours are specifically designed to give a solid understanding of RRT, while providing a great deal of time for hands- on learning.

You will have the option to bring your dog (3 will be invited to each 5 hour session). This way you will have the opportunity to work with your dog as well as with others. This experience extends the learning process as you begin to “see” and “feel” other dogs conformations.

RRT will be your go-to-therapy whenever your dog is in need. The best part is...all you need is at your fingertips!

The following pages are excerpts from your soon to have Rescue Response Technique manual.

Your manual is full of step-by-step instructions for each of the 5 Moves you will be learning.

Along with the manual, and what I believe to be highly valuable, is the hands on learning you will receive over the 10 hours we are together!

That’s why you’re invited to bring your dog.

No worries if you don’t currently have a dog, or if you’re unable to bring your dog.

There are always plenty of dogs here to get your hands on. J

Expect to be leaving the weekend feeling:

• Confident in understanding RRT.

• Confident in applying RRT to any dog in

need

• Confident in assessing a dogs

compensation patterns

RRT is a component of Dog Bowen

Physiotherapy (DBP), a hands-on whole body therapy

that creates a direct communication with the dogs’ body on a cellular level.

Many therapies treat a targeted mobility issue or ask the dog to physically participate in order to achieve results. DBP uses the gentlest approach (as you will learn) in the most non-invasive way that puts the dogs’ entire body back into a balanced state, no matter where the mobility issue is.

Let’s learn a little about Bowen…

The gentleness of your approach and the lightness of your hands is the “Magic” behind

Dog Bowen Physiotherapy.

~ Added Bonus ~

The only tools needed are your hands.

The main elements that define the Bowen Technique (human, horse or dog) are all based on the original technique developed by Tom Bowen. His brilliant insight into the innate intelligence of the body is what makes this therapy so incredibly effective.

1) The Bowen Move The Bowen Move is very distinctive and is applied at very precise points on the body. It involves the movement of soft tissue in a very specific way. The Move is a rolling-type move of the thumbs and forefingers and is designed to stimulate the tissue and nerve pathways, creating a focus for the brain. The Move does not slide over the surface of the skin, but uses the slack in the overlying skin to move over the underlying tissue, so each Move covers a small area, defined by how far an individual’s skin can move over a targeted area, usually no more than 2 – 4 centimeters across.

2) The Waits Tom Bowen was a man who had a great ability to accurately observe the often very subtle imbalances in the body and could therefore start the process of correcting these very quickly. Once he had started the process with a few well-chosen Moves, he would allow a Wait. This element of allowing the body to rest for a few minutes initiates the process of repair and is terribly important. The length of the breaks will vary from animal to animal, but on average around two minutes in between each Move is suffice. The implications for these breaks become more apparent with experience, but at the start of training many people find this a very difficult concept. The Waits are probably one of the least understood parts of Bowen and yet it is during the breaks that the work starts to take effect and changes are implemented.

Three distinctive elements of Bowen (cont’d)

3) No other treatments The most fundamental principle of Bowen is that it is the animals innate intelligence that is doing the work and for this to happen the body needs time and to be left alone. This is not to say that other treatments are in some way less valid or less powerful than Bowen but simply that we need to give any process a chance if it is to be effective. Loading more than one therapy within a certain space of time is like asking a radio to pick up two stations at once.

The Rescue Response Technique is

designed to teach you 5 powerful Moves

that can be used:

• In any situation

• For any condition

• For any aged dog

• As part of your dog’s health care

regime

• But never a replacement for

veterinary care.

RRT is made of 5 very specific Moves. Each Move on its own has re-balancing properties with Move 1 being incredibly powerful.

RRT will help your dog in three specific areas:

Emergency Situations: use as an aid while seeking Veterinary care.

• Digestive distress • Fall • Hit by car • Sudden blow from another dog

Acute pain:

• Sudden lameness • Sudden stiffness or muscle spasms • Sudden emotional upset

Chronic conditions:

Long standing conditions such as arthritis, spine misalignment, roached back, leaky bladder, hip dysplasia and so much more!

I have countless stories to share with you…

I use RRT on a daily basis in my Practice!

Before 1st RRT session

Hind end tucked under, weight shifted forward to compensate for hind end weakness.

Muscle loss in back legs, head held low Coat is rough and dull. Mobility is compromised.

After 3rd RRT session

Hind end no longer tucked under, weight is now balanced evenly on front and hind legs

Muscle has returned in hind legs, head is now held higher Coat is smoother and shinier, energy has increased and mobility is now much

easier.

This is the story of Kobe: A 14-year-old Lab suffering from a sudden onset of Peripheral Vestibular Syndrome (inflammation of the inner ear). What started suddenly with panting and drooling quickly turned into eyes darting back and forth and severe dizziness, which left Kobe incapable of standing.

Caregivers Karen and John gratefully had their vet come to their home to administer anti-nausea medication and to catheterize.

I was called after the 5th day and this picture shows how I found him. I sat beside Kobe allowing him to feel my presence. He made no attempt to sniff me or move towards me.

Being in this state for 5 days, Kobe was still clearly in an emergency situation. I carefully choose 5 moves that I knew would benefit Kobe without overwhelming his system. That evening Kobe was up (first time in 5 days) and walking with assistance. He was able to relieve himself in the yard.

I was amazed! These 5 Moves created an incredibly speedy and effective result. I knew right then and there with Kobe by my side that I would be using these 5 Moves over and over in my Practice. Rescue Response Technique is my go-to-therapy. Now it’s yours!

You’ve completed the workshop. You’ve begun to “play”. And now you have questions. (And perhaps some frustration and a little self-doubt.) Awesome! This is natural. In fact the more questions you have tells me you’re putting RRT to work. I love that! So to help you through the learning curve I have designed an RRT ONLINE SUPPORT PROGRAM. Exciting huh! More on that at the workshop!

A $100 deposit holds your spot.

The $200 remaining fee is due two weeks prior

to the RRT Workshop.
