Things we’re often asked
Q. When will my first payment be due?
A. When you sign a contract with us, your first bill is generated on the next available bill
cycle which is generally the very next day. Your first payment is due approx 19 days
from the date of your bill cycle and is clearly printed on the front page of your bill.
Q. Why is my first bill slightly higher than I expected?
A. On your first bill there are 2 monthly charges in the Bill Summary section. The first
charge is for the the partial month, taking you from the date you joined to your bill
date. The second charge is for your first full month, which is charged in advance.
Q. How can I pay my bill?
A. As a FlexiFix customer you must sign up to pay by Direct Debit. This is part of the Terms
& Conditions of the FlexiFix Price Plan. Paying by Direct Debit is fast, easy and saves
you €4.50 a month in charges.
Q. If I am a Direct Debit customer and I make an interim payment on my
account, will the full amount shown on the bill still be taken by Direct Debit?
A. Yes. If paying by Direct Debit, 3 will always take the full amount stated on your bill.
Your interim payment will be credited to your account and off set against charges the
following month.
Q. What if my Direct Debit fails?
A. If your Direct Debit fails we will notify you by text message and ask that you make an
immediate payment on your account. We suggest that this payment is made using a
Credit Card or Laser Card to avoid any suspension of service. Once payment has been
received you will need to set up your Direct Debit again with us.
Q. My bill says that a call was charged to ‘Cash Top-Up’. What does that mean?
A. This means that the call was not included as part of your FlexiFix Price Plan and your
Top-Up credit was used to pay for the call. A full breakdown of your Top-Ups can be
found on the front page of your bill.
Q. If I don’t use all of my Flexi-units one month, can they be carried over to the
next month?
A. No. Unused Flexi-units at the end of a billing period will not carry over to the next month.

Direct Debit dateThis is where we tell you what date yourdirect debit will be taken from your account.
Your Top-upsHere’s where we’ll show you the value of your top-ups in the last month, how much top-up you have used and how much you have left (on the date of the bill).
Monthly chargeThis shows the monthly charge for your particular price plan for the coming month plus any discounts and add-ons (free or charged) that you have applied for.
Inclusive allowanceThis column confirms your full monthly allowance for the coming month, in line with the price plan you have selected. To find out your remaining price plan allowance go to My3
Usage summaryThis shows how much of your monthly allowance you used.
Page1. The first page of your bill gives you a quick snapshot of your charges.
Page 3. The third page of your bill is a summary of how your total charges have been calculated.

Itemised detailTo give you as much information as possible, each service has been split into the following:
The date and time you used the service
The number called (where applicable)
How long the call lasted (where applicable)

Destination (where applicable)
Price plan allowance (where applicable)
AllowancesThis column shows whether your usage was included in your monthly allowance or if it came out of your cash top-up.
SubtotalEach category has a subtotal shown in bold text at the foot of each column. This relates to the summary charges shown on page 3 of the bill under ‘Usage summary’.
Page 4 onwards. The final section of your bill shows your usage in greater detail.
