Hello and welcome to December 2013 and January 2014. Summer will soon be in full swing so don't forget to book your kids swimming classes for Term 1 at Westerfolds Sports Centre. Vacancies fill fast so be quick or you will miss out.

Now is a great time to get organised as Christmas and New Year are just around the corner and in the blink of an eye it's all over.

Around this time of the year we have a ritual and that is to take family photos with Santa or our Christmas is not complete! There are so many local places to get your photos taken with Santa this year. Here are a few suggestions, The Pines/Stockland Shopping Centre, Bulleen Plaza and Macedon Plaza. (Details are on Page 7, 20, 21, 22, 28).

Also your children can write a letter to Santa and post it at The Pines/Stockland Shopping Centre or Tunstall Square will make sure Santa gets it. (Details on Page 20, 21, 24).

Dancing is a wonderful activity for your children it can be very exciting and a great way for them to keep fit. Here are a few local dance schools to consider. Karen Margaret Studio, Doncaster Physical Culture School of Dance, Boogie Bubs, Templestowe Dance and Parkwood Dance Academy. Enrol your child now for 2014.

Deciding where to celebrate Christmas and New Years can be stressful, so why not take the pressure off yourself and book a Christmas lunch or dinner at a variety of venues around Manningham such as The Cherry Hill Tavern, The Doncaster, The Grand Warrandyte or Templestowe Hotel. All venues have a delicious menu and an area which your kids can play so you can relax.

On the 13th of December at 6pm pack a picnic basket complete with rug and head down to Ruffey Lake Park with your family and friends for Manningham's Carols by Candlelight.

A Fireworks Display will be featured at the conclusion of the evening, details on page 39.

Come and Celebrate Australia Day Weekend on Saturday 25th January at 6pm, with fun family activities and a movie under the stars at MC 2 (Manningham City Square) details on Page 39.
