CHOICE CONTROL SAFEGUARDS SUPPORT WHERE NEEDED

A National Disability Insurance Scheme will give all Australians the peace of mind to know that if they,

or a family member, have or acquire a disability that leaves them needing daily assistance with

everyday life, they will be supported.

The Scheme will:– Assist individuals to identify goals and aspirations

and to develop comprehensive plans to achieve those goals

– Fund reasonable and necessary supports– Better link individuals to mainstream services and

assist services – Direct investment towards evidence based

interventions– Assist in reducing social constraints of disability

What will an NDIS do?


NDIS Advisory Group


• Established by the Australian Government

• Draw on their knowledge and connections

• Provides specialist advice on the development

and design of the NDIS
