    There are many cars on the streets in towns and cities. The people in them all want to somewhere

    quickly. But when the streets in a city are full cars, the people in the cars can hear a noise. It

    is a loud noise but it is not a strange noise. Everyone knows it,

    the noise is the sound of the ambulance, the big white car that

    takes people are ill to hospital. All the cars in the

    street stop, the ambulance to get to the hospital

    quickly. There are usually three people in an ambulance. There

    is a driver in the front, and a doctor at the back. The third

    person help; he is sick. There is a bed in the

    back with the doctor, this is for the person who is ill. The bed

    is there people can lie down. The person in the

    ambulance sometimes has to stay in hospital for

    one day, sometimes it is for more. the ambulance

    gets to the hospital, there are many people there to help.

    There are doctors and nurses who can make the sick person

    again.

    My name is Jack. I am twelve years old and I have two brothers. One of my brothers

    is thirteen, his name is Bill. Bill and I go to the same school. Next year Bill will go to a

    different school. I have another brother, his name is Nick. Nick is older than Bill, he is

    twenty eight years old. Of course, Nick does not go to school, he has a job. He works

    at a very big newspaper, but he is not a journalist, he is a photographer. It is his job to

    take pictures for the newspaper.

    Last Saturday, my brothers and I went to town. We didn’t walk because the weather

    was very bad, it was raining and it was very windy. Nick drove his car. In town we

    wanted to go to the cinema, there was a new film that I wanted to see. We bought

    tickets for the film. As I was going into the theatre, I saw a man. I knew that man,

    but I couldn’t remember his name. I asked Nick; suddenly Nick was taking pictures of

    the man! “Who is he?” I asked again. “He’s a famous actor,” my brother said. I was

    surprised. We all went in to see the film. The next day my picture was in the

    newspaper; I was standing outside the theatre next to the actor. Nick is a great brother!
