"Litzloach", which is the root word, means to successfully cross a river and move on. Yosef Hatzaddik knew how to move from one situation to the next without “falling apart at the seams”. He was able to cross mighty rivers of troubles and persevere over tremendous challenges. Therefore, he was able to make the transition from his position as Yaakov’s favorite son, to a pit filled with snakes and scorpions. Then he made his way successfully through the challenge posed by Potifar's wife. Not everyone would have been capable of navigating from the holy home of Yaakov to the den of corruption and immorality that was Egypt. Not everyone could have languished in prison for 12 years and then go directly to prominence in Pharaoh’s court. All this was accomplished without changes in Yosef’s state of mind. A person who is able to ford such difficult rivers with courage and faith is worthy of being called “an ish matzliach” (a successful man). The root of the word “matzliach" (successful), which is used

This Motzei Shabbos, December 13th, as a culmination of our annual YIBH/NCSY partnership Shabbaton, there will be a Pre-Chanukah High School Ice Skating and Melave Malka event! A bus will be

On December 20th, there will be a special Chanukah program for toddlers, elementary & middle school age
youth. All Youth will learn about the story of Chanukah, receive Chocolate Gelt/Coins, build candy menorahs and even get to play dreidel!
The Youth Chanukah Party will take place on Wednesday December 17th from 6pm to 7pm (Please note the updated date as their will be no program on the 21st). It will include a special Chanukah Arts and
Crafts project, Chanukah Games, and of course Sufganiot Donuts & Prizes!
