There are several activities in our school that are relevant for the topic of mediation and coexistence. First of all, our curriculum is based on a special document including

rules for prevention of aggression and violence among teenagers as well as for inclusion of students of special needs.

Regular talks are provided to classes on children's rights to eliminate discrimination as well as individual meetings take place to help particular conflicts. Students have access to a well-equipped library of books and movies devoted to most frequent problems.

Teachers are experienced in dealing with situations that require mediation. They have regular trainings with experts and also cooperate with specialist institutions.

There are several activities in our school that are relevant for the topic of mediation and coexistence. We have conducted regular activities addressed to our students like

prevention theatre where they learn by drama how to amicably solve problems or what the consequences of addiction are. They get real examples of tolerance. Students also take part in workshops and preventive projects like „Safe and friendly school”.

Common action for local environment is also an important issue – engagement into ecological and charity activities.

Integration trips.

Finally, students are evaluated through questionnaires which provide feedback in order to improve their environment and achieve rapport.

I like helping!

Students who like and want to help others get engaged in different types of charity actions: we prepare auction of hand-made Christmas cards, we run a collection of plastic caps for sick kids, we cooperate with foundations which help the Africans and we collect soap and glasses.

All our activities are documented at: http://skc2bc.blogspot.com/
