CELEBRATE YOUR ACHIEVEMENTYAW offers the opportunity to focus and develop artistic abilities while broadening horizons and building confidence. Upon completion of five or more courses in a related area, students will receive a certificate to commemorate their commitment and dedication to art and design. SIGN UP FOR SADI (SUMMER ART & DESIGN INSTITUTE)SADI is a fun and inspiring four-week summer residential program of visual art study, designed for young women in high school seeking to expand their creative skills and get a head start on college. Students choose a studio concentration in Animation, Printmaking, Interior Design, Illustration, Photography, Fashion Design, Game Design, Painting or Graphic Design. Students who complete SADI will earn 3 undergraduate-level college credits.

Young creatives in this class will explore the basics of animation and illustration, with a special focus on science behind the natural world. CLASSESAll classes are studio based and held in Moore’s modern facilities and classrooms, utilized year-round by undergraduate students. Students should plan to arrive approximately 15–20 minutes before the start of class on the first day.

REGISTER EARLYClass size is limited. Courses fill quickly and we recommend that you register early to guarantee availability. Registrations are processed on first-come, first-served basis. Confirmation of registration is emailed one week after receipt of registration.

REGISTRATION IS EASYPayments are accepted by check, money order or credit card. Checks and money orders should be made payable to Moore College of Art & Design. Cash payments may be made in person Monday through Friday, 9 am – 5 pm. Partial payments cannot be accepted. You may not register online if using a discount or scholarship.

TUITION REFUND & WITHDRAWAL POLICYWritten notification of withdrawals or course changes must be submitted to the Office of Continuing Education via email to [email protected] or fax 215.965.4047. Tuition refunds are not given if a student does not officially withdraw in writing from the course. Registration fees are not refundable. Tuition refunds are calculated according to the following schedule:

• 100% tuition refund minus $55 withdrawal fee, before the first day of class

• 80% tuition refund minus $55 withdrawal fee, before the second day of class

• 50% tuition refund minus $55 withdrawal fee, before the third day of class

• No refunds after the third class

Please allow 2–4 weeks for your tuition refund to be processed.

YAW FACULTY Moore’s award-winning BFA faculty, certified art educators and practicing artists and designers teach in Young Artists Workshop. They are all dedicated and enthusiastic professionals with expertise in studio art and design education.

FRIENDS & FAMILY DAY Parents, guardians and friends are invited on the last day of each session to visit classes, engage with student artwork, and meet YAW faculty and staff. A great opportunity to celebrate your young artist’s accomplishments!

ART SUPPLIES Art supplies are provided for students in courses for grades 3–8. Students in courses for grades 9–12 are required to purchase supplies and will receive a supply list during the first class. The cost of supplies for high school classes is approximately $25–$50.

CODE OF CONDUCT Students are expected to follow general behavior rules of being respectful of each other, the instructor and staff, as well as the College facility. CAMPUS LOCATIONMoore’s vibrant Center City Philadelphia campus is located just off Logan Square and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, on Race Street between 19th and 20th Streets. Many of our Young Artists Workshop courses take advantage of Moore’s location by including off-site trips to cultural attractions.

STUDENT DROP OFF AND PICK UPMoore is a safe, manageable campus. Students can be dropped off in front of the College’s main entrance on Race Street between 19th and 20th Streets, where they will be greeted by staff. When students are dismissed from class, they are instructed to wait in the College’s main lobby for pick-up.
