The m3property Award

Start your career in the property industry with the

m3property Award program. Applications will be

accepted for the award from 1 August 2016 and

open to students undertaking a property related

University Degree. The Award will entail three days

per week commencing early 2017, designed to work

around your studies and complement your learning.

The successful applicant will undertake a ten month

rotation spending approximately six weeks in each

of the m3property teams that work in the various

property sectors. The role will include but is not

limited to:

Field Inspections: due to m3property's premium

client base, the successful applicant will get the

opportunity to be involved in some of

Melbourne's largest transactions and inspect

some of the most prestigious properties,

including:

­ Englobo land and development sites for

medium to high density developments.

­ Premium-Grade CBD and Docklands

commercial space and suburban offices.

­ Major shopping centres and retail

tenancies in some of Melbourne's most

prominent strips.

­ Hospitals and aged care facilities.

Using various financial and feasibility property

software.

Conducting Title, Planning and comparable

sales research to assist qualified valuers with

reports.

The successful applicant will work directly with

qualified valuers assisting in various valuation and

property tasks.

Successful applicants will have good communication

and computer skills, a keen interest in the property

industry, high degree of self-motivation, attention to

detail and a logical approach to problem solving.

The Award winner will be paid an agreed salary and

a $5,000 bonus upon successful completion of the

rotation program.

“After deciding that property was the industry of choice for me back while at school I enrolled

for a Bachelor of Business (Property) at RMIT and was offered a role with Walstab Hills &

Sully (which became m3property) as a cadet valuer. After spending over 5 years with

m3property I moved into a project development role with a major Australian building

company, then to Macquarie Group’s property investment team before joining Charter Hall,

now as a fund manager for a $2.5 billion commercial office fund.

In my time at m3property I was involved in valuing a broad range of assets, from residential

properties, industrial developments and estates, office buildings through to properties

including golf courses and even a trout farm, gaining significant experience in valuations and

a well rounded market knowledge which provided the foundation for subsequent roles

outside of valuations. I believe valuations provides the best basis for professional knowledge

in the property industry with m3property, having a very hands on approach and some very

experienced people from which to work with and learn from.

m3property has continued to grow now having a national presence, a highly regarded team

with an excellent reputation for quality advice. I certainly look back on my time at m3 as a

great experience and thank them for giving me the opportunity to develop my career in

property.”
