Dear Church Family, Welcome to Bible Center Church!

We are glad that you are here and are hoping that today marks the beginning of a great week for you, your friends, and your family. Thank you for letti ng us be a part of your week.

A traditi onal hymn sung in years past at this ti me begins with

“We gather together to ask the Lord’s blessing.” We are certainly doing that together today, but there is more. We come with grateful hearts and recognize our need for Jesus Christ and relish what is provided in Him. Worship is about celebrati ng. We yearn for His blessings but are careful to thank Him for all that He does. We bring the fruit of our lips (what we sing, say, and pray) and off er it to God as a sacrifi ce.

This morning in worship, Zechariah 7 will probe our moti ves. The integrity of our spiritual aspirati on is worked out and shown in our moti ves. It is possible to go through all the right moti ons with a

heart distant from God. Zechariah addresses religious acti ons and asks the people listening why they were involved in them. Why are we here this morning? Is it to draw near to God with a sincere heart? Zechariah is calling us out and calling us forward to pure hearts found responsive to God and in love with Jesus Christ.

Thanks for joining your heart with ours today before the living God!

Keep going,

Eric MountsS P
