1. Before you leave:

A. Follow application instructions from the host university: what / how / where / when? DEADLINES!!

B. Register with the central International Office as an Erasmus grant applicant (or with SNUF for non-European destinations).

C. Have your Learning Agreement signed by study advisor, IMO and host university, or you will not get your Erasmus grant (what if they won’t sign until you are there?)

1. Before you leave:

D. Substitute courses? Approval examination committee!

E. ID still valid? International health insurance card? Liability insurance?

F. Scan important documents and mail them to yourself and a contact person.

G. Cancel your Public Transport card for the time you are abroad (signed form after grant application; before departure cancel at a charging station)

2. Once you are abroad

A. Host university’s rules!

B. Changes in your Learning Agreement? Change Form! Download from IMO site or use host university’s. Have it signed and send it to IMO.

C. Unforeseen circumstances? Inform host university, ask for help if needed, inform IMO.

2. Once you are abroad

D. Download ‘Tips and Guidelines for your Stay Abroad’ (see www.ru.nl/fm/imo > outgoing students )

F. Earn enough credits!

3. Before you come back

1. Have Study Statements Form signed/stamped by host university! Needed for finalizing Erasmus grant

2. Check where your transcript will be sent. Choice? Address IMO

4. Once you are back

A. Hand in your Study Statements Form (Erasmus) at central IO, upload a report on your stay abroad.

B. Received the transcript yourself? Hand in a copy at IMO. IMO takes care of having your grades entered in OSIRIS.
