Dare presses “SENECA” and “MARGARET”.
DARE (CONT’D)
Mom says only eleven miles today,
so, it’ll be easy!
SENECA

MARGARET

A windsock hangs gently atop a flagpole.
INT. TIMOTHY’S LAB - CONTINUOUS
TIMOTHY enters data in his computer. His screen reveals an oscilloscope reading resembling a psychedelic signal ALA - GREEN HORNET.
ALPHA is on the dais leaping over ROGER, power slamming a monstrous thunder dunk.
ROGER
Big deal.
TIMOTHY
Take a look at this you guys!
Alpha and Roger join Timothy in front of the oscilloscope.
ROGER
It looks like my yo-yo ‘around the
world trick’.

Looks more like the Green Hornet.

ROGER

It must be jelly, Pixie, because
jam doesn’t roll like this. Look
what Cookie did?

The jalopy limo is motoring across the Golden Gate Bridge.

BIG MIKE is wearing a bib, flashing his psycho eye at an offering of a plate full of fried chicken from the DUMBWAITER.

MORTIMER is body slamming a dazed MAYOR BART.
MORTIMER
I’m tired of chicken, boss? Jel-ly
rol-ls!!!
SFX: ZIP
The dumbwaiter lens turns to Mortimer.
POV: CROSS-HAIRS AIMING AT MORTIMER
MORTIMER (CONT’D)
All we gotta do is go to the
library!
SFX: ZAP
SFX: CLANG
The dumbwaiter extends its arm, body slams Mortimer.
Big Mike smiles, flashing his psycho eye.
BACK TO LIBRARY
Pixie holds a dog catching net, wearing an animal control officer khaki uniform, wagging her eyebrows at the jelly rolls.
Mrs. Sciencefeld is wiping book returns in her computer.
MRS. SCIENCEFELD
Aren’t you supposed to be looking
for a yo-yo, Pixerelli?
PIXIE
(growls)

Mrs. Sciencefeld reaches Pixie’s cap and turns it backward.
MRS. SCIENCEFELD
Those look like jelly rolls to me??
PIXIE
(whines)
INT. JALOPY LIMO - CONTINUOUS
Mayor Bart is holding Mortimer upside down in near-pin peril in the ring.
MORTIMER TWISTING HIS MUSTACHE, SMELLING HIS ROSE BOUTONNIERE.
MORTIMER
Look, boss, why don’t just go to
the library, have a few jelly
rolls. . .
(angst)
And learn a few things!!!
SFX: WHAM WHAM WHAM
Mayor Bart slams Mortimer and picks him up for one final blow.

MORTIMER (CONT’D)
Fine, boss. We’ll stop at Kenny’s
Carnival Supply. They got roller
coasters made for chickens!!

Mrs. Sciencefeld places Pixie’s glasses on her face, taps her on the head.

The lab’s flagpole windsock flutters.
INT. TIMOTHY’S LAB - CONTINUOUS
(NOTE: Paul shows on Timothy’s myPad screen, fidgeting at his law book desk. Alpha and Roger are wearing official AURL flight suits. Alpha is also wearing his motorcycle jacket. Roger is wearing his surgical mask loosely around his neck.)
Timothy’s entering data in his computer, his screen reveals his NASA KIDS SPACE CAMP ACCOUNT and an oscillating waveform signal.
Alpha fixes his loose mustache.
Roger opens his lunch box.
COCONUT/STRAWBERRY JELLY ROLL
ROGER
Grandma makes them with holograph
fructose.
TIMOTHY
You’re supposed to wait ‘til lunch.

ROGER
I had to order her diet adjusted.
PAUL
I sent you complete waivers to
sign, prior to recess. The Cadettes
are going to want to see proof!
ROGER
Of what?
Alpha mounts his space motorcycle, lowering his sunglasses.
SFX: MOTORCYCLE ENGINE STARTING
PAUL
Proof we actually did homework?
Roger comes running past with his medic bag and lunch box, jumps in the sidecar. Alpha backs into the Time Travel Tube.
Alpha, Roger, and Timothy trade salutes.
ROGER
This is going to be incredibly hard
homework!
SFX: MOTORCYCLE ENGINE ROARING
SFX: WHOOSH ZOOM
Alpha, Roger, and the space motorcycle dematerialize as the Time Travel Tube Control panel reads “1918 ENGLAND” with “SECURITY PENDING” flashing.
PAUL
You’re going to find a lost kitty
and yo-yo in 1918 England???

TIMOTHY
For Space Camp bonus points!
INT: GURDEEP’S OFFICE - CONTINUOUS
(NOTE: MRS. FAEBER shows, in her exercise room, on the bottom-right of Gurdeep’s computer screen. A crumpled brown paper lunch bag sits next to his computer.)
GURDEEP is at his desk stamping file folders.
MRS. FAEBER
You’re neglecting your exercise,
Gurpy!?
SFX: WHOOSH
The office doors slide open, revealing a lab robot entering with a cart full of additional file folders.
MRS. FAEBER (CONT’D)
I want you to walk every, and I
mean every inch of this laboratory,
now!
GURDEEP’S FRANTIC FACE
SFX: WHOOSH ZOOM
Alpha, Roger, and the space motorcycle materialize. Roger jumps out of the sidecar, runs to Gurdeep’s lunch bag, causing Gurdeep to quickly shove it in a desk drawer.
ROGER
Hi, grandma! Did you change his
lunch diet, like I ordered? Grandma
likes it, dad!

MRS. FAEBER
Every inch, Gurpy! ‘Til you find
that kitty and yo-yo!!
ROGER
They’re not here, grandma, we
checked.
SFX: MOTORCYCLE ENGINE STARTING
Roger fastens his surgical mask.
ROGER (CONT’D)
Plus we’re getting space camp
points for doubling foodstuff
supplies in hospitals.
He runs back to the sidecar. Alpha, coolly hands him his medics helmet and they trade salutes. Roger hops in.
ROGER (CONT’D)
Plus it’s for homework and the bus
is almost here! It’s hard homework?
Alpha lowers his sunglasses.
ROGER (CONT’D)
Our only oscillating signal looks
like something from The Green
Hornet!
SFX: ALPHA GOOSES MOTORCYCLE ENGINE

Your father has an original Green
Hornet lunch box?
GURDEEP’S FEARFUL FACE
MRS. FAEBER (CONT’D)
He put all those reflector stickers
on it?
The lab robot approaches the space motorcycle carrying a lunch box.

ROGER

The Time Travel Tube Control panel switches from flashing “SECURITY PENDING” to “SECURITY PASSED”.

One small cloud floats over the fender fin.

Teddy jams jazz on the piano.
Roxanne arrives waving her memory sticks.

Teddy leads Roxanne through security.
MUSIC: ALA - MISSION IMPOSSIBLE

TEDDY
We’re clear.
Roxanne inserts her first memory stick into Teddy’s computer: revealing her UNN footage of Roger receiving Gurdeep’s vintage Green Hornet lunch box with red reflector stickers.
TEDDY (CONT’D)
Oooh, dad didn’t look too happy
about that lunch box?
ROXANNE
Grandmothers outrank everyone!
Roxanne swaps memory sticks in Teddy’s computer: revealing her UNN footage of Alpha and Roger at an intergalactic campsite with COOKE playing harmonica.
TEDDY
This is definitely looking like
trouble, Roxanne???

All homework looks like trouble at
first, and it’s our job to overcome
that! Jelly rolls, or chicken with
mashed potatoes, these kids are
going to have to make decisions
today. They’re learning they’re
responsible for themselves.
Roxanne swaps her last memory stick: showing the jalopy limo pulling into KENNY’S CARNIVAL SUPPLY drive-thru.

That place is looking pretty scary,

It’s a junk yard and anybody
keeping kids from the library
belong in one!

Molly is leading Many Eagles through the reeds, awakening a duck and her nest.

SFX: EIGHTEEN WHEELER SPACE TRANSPORT PASSING
MARSHMALLOW ON STICK
ALISTAIR COOKE is waving a marshmallow on a stick above the campfire playing a harmonica with support brace.
ALPHA’S EYES
Alpha eyes follow the marshmallow’s every move.
GREEN HORNET LUNCH BOX
Roger is opening the Green Hornet lunch box revealing a transmitter. He switches it on causing the red reflector stickers to flash.
BACK IN TIMOTHY’S LAB
Timothy is entering data in his computer, his screen revealing a live feed from Roger.
TIMOTHY
This has to go up on the wall.
They’re on!!!
MUSIC: HARMONICA
Timothy switches reception to his lab flat screen, revealing Cooke at the campfire, playing with a yo-yo.
PAUL
You’re grounded. Case closed. Turn
it off.
YO-YO TRICKS
Cooke performs “AROUND THE WORLD” and then “WALKING THE DOG”.

ALPHA EATING MARSHMALLOW
Alpha’s eyes are following the yo-yo.
OSCILLOSCOPE SCREEN
Timothy’s oscilloscope locks sharply in a Green Hornet pattern.
TIMOTHY
No! It’s dad’s lunch box!
Everything’s turning on!
ROGER
Roger, Timothy. This is Roger.
Locking in signal!
PAUL
You did it???
TIMOTHY
Don’t lock it in!!! The microbes
have to be able to move!!!
INT. GURDEEP’S OFFICE - CONTINUOUS
(NOTE: Mrs. Faeber is showing on Gurdeep’s computer screen standing with her arms crossed.)
Folders are piled above Gurdeep’s head as he stamps them one at a time with emphasis.
SFX: WHOOSH
The office doors slide open revealing a lab robot carrying a rake to Gurdeep’s desk.

MRS. FAEBER
I’m glad you walked the inside of
the lab, Gurpy, but there is the
outside also?
GURDEEP’S FACE SHOWS GRAVE CONCERN
MRS. FAEBER (CONT’D)
I’m sure the boys will be more than
happy to help when they get home.

so happy?

(growls)

I meant when you’re done,

PIXIE
(whines)
EXT. JALOPY LIMO - KENNY’S - CONTINUOUS
The jalopy limo is pulling into Kenny’s drive-thru past an order menu board reading “SPECIAL ROLLER COASTER CHICKEN AND WHIPSAW MASHED POTATOES, TILT AND WHIRL EXTRA.”
INT. JALOPY LIMO - CONTINUOUS
The dumbwaiter door opens to reveal a bucket of chicken from Kenny’s.
SFX: WHAM WHAM WHAM WHAM
Mayor Bart repeatedly body slams Mortimer.
MORTIMER
Boss? Boss? Boss? Boss!!!!
SFX: CLANG
Mayor Bart sends Mortimer crashing into the terrarium.

MORTIMER (CONT’D)
Arghhh!!!
Mortimer leads Mayor Bart up the terrarium glass, sees Big Mike flashing his psycho eye, wearing a fine linen bib.
MORTIMER (CONT’D)
Wait ‘til he tries the potatoes,
boss. That’ll teach him!!
SFX: ZIP
The dumbwaiter lens turns to Mortimer.
POV: CROSS-HAIRS ON MORTIMER AND MAYOR BART
SFX: BING BING
The dumbwaiter arms telescope, grabbing Mortimer and Mayor Bart, sending them crashing into the limo flat screen displaying Cooke’s jelly rolls.
MORTIMER (CONT’D)
Take a good look, boss!
BACK TO LIBRARY
Pixie goes roller skating by wailing on electric guitar.
MUSIC: SOUTH CHICAGO BLUES
Mrs. Sciencefeld’s computer screen flashes to a JPEG of Mrs. Sciencefeld, Many Eagles, Claire, Molly, and Basia, wearing capes, in action poses.

The office doors slide open, revealing Mrs. Faeber spinning her own basketball on her finger, glaring at Cooke.
Alpha bobs his eyebrows.

Alpha tosses his basketball for the dais, causing Gurdeep to give chase with Alpha, Cooke, and Mrs. Faeber to give chase.
