1) Analysis SANAA’s work in drawing.2) Design a Suitcase demonstrating design intent of SANAA.
TASK:

Reduce Unfold
APPROACH: 1) Drawing as transformational act: reduce, translate, discover and isolate information. 2) Versatility of space created by countless paths of folding the suitcase’s wall into interior.

GLASS FOR ARTIST
TASK: Remix an artist’s cooperative and integrate the building’s urban site -- Boston city hall plaza.
APPROACH: Explore various combiantions of transparent and reflective glass, that allows viewing simultaneously in(the building) and around (the site). Visually extends public outdoor space as part of the architecture. Building as a metaphor that artists are to see at different angles, reflect on it and to engage the public.

YI REN 18
Minimize on room level
Minimize on house level
Complementry Principle StudyFOLD floor into wall and then into ceiling brings free flowing space and orientation. Orientation to the surrounding sites is based on the aesthetics of programs and degrees of privacy on each story.
