WORDS FROM THE CEO YEAR IN REVIEW – 2016-20171
Our continued growth is a testament to the dedication and teamwork our more
than 900 employees bring to make Citrin Cooperman a great company.“ “
Citrin Cooperman saw significant growth in 2016. The Firm grew revenue by 17%, with billings exceeding
$210M. We promoted 11 partners and principals and brought in 5 laterals; introduced two new practice
groups, Government Contracting and Technology & Risk Advisory Consulting (TRAC); launched Apexium
Financial LP, a new wealth management affiliate; and admitted the partners, principals, and staff of two firms in
New England, giving us new offices in Boston and Providence.
As we enter 2017, our focus will remain on growth, both organic and through strategic opportunities. We plan
to further develop our core service offerings and will place an emphasis on enhancing our increased footprint in
New England and Metro D.C. We are also planning to move into new office space in Bethesda, MD and Long
Island, NY. Other areas of focus this year include the further development of our India office; offering our
expertise to other CPA firms through the Citrin Cooperman Alliance; and enriching our affiliation with Moore
Stephens International.
We look forward to all that is to come in 2017.
Regards to all,
Joel A. Cooperman

International Strategy Group - With our International Services
Practice having grown substantially over the past few years, Citrin
Cooperman is invested in building solid, long-term relationships
within our Moore Stephens North America (MSNA) and International
(MSIL) memberships. To that end, the Firm has launched the Citrin
Cooperman International Strategy Group (CCISG) whose main goal
in 2017 will be to form a coordinated practice development program
with other like-minded member firms across the globe, allowing us to
add value to our clients wherever they do business. The mission of this program is to strengthen our position as a
preferred provider and grant our teams the flexibility to operate simultaneously as the most local and the most
global of businesses. As a direct result – we are able to provide our clients with the best of both worlds – a single
point of contact to coordinate and facilitate their global needs as well as direct partner involvement domestically
to ensure a hands-on, customized approach to all service needs.
“ TODAY, MORE THAN EVER, IT IS CRITICAL FOR A SERVICE PROVIDER TO BE ABLE TO
HAVE A COORDINATED APPROACH TO MOST EFFECTIVELY MEET THE NEEDS OF CLIENTS
OPERATING GLOBALLY. BECAUSE OF OUR UNIQUE STRUCTURE WITH MOORE STEPHENS
WE ARE ABLE TO PROVIDE OUR CLIENTS WITH THE COMFORT OF WORKING WITH A FIRM
THAT HAS A DEEP UNDERSTANDING OF BOTH THE LOCAL AND GLOBAL MARKETS IN
WHICH THEY DO BUSINESS.”
