Challenges
All your exams are in Year 11, however you will need to remember things that you are
taught today!!!!
• You will have 975 lessons this year!!!
• You are at secondary school for 5 years!
• That’s 4875 lessons from Year 7 to 11!!!!
• Ok – not quite as you leave Year 11 in Term 5 and start your GCSE exams, so it’s just….
4725 lessons before your GCSEs!!!!
GCSEs are now all linear with little controlled assessment!

Science – students have been studying
inherited characteristics and so parents might
ask their children to talk about what children
inherit genetically and socially.
What kind of questions could you ask?
Ickn

History – students have been looking at what
is history – parents might ask them if they
think we can ever really know what happened
in the past or why is it important that we
investigate the past?
What kind of questions could you ask?

Learning first time around is key to
successful revision and exam results!
Attendance
Research suggests that 17 missed
school days a year = 1 GCSE grade
drop in achievement!
