How can I help? Discuss university choices with your son or
daughter? Make sure that your child selects a topic they plan to study in University.
If possible, be available to help the student gain the necessary access for primary data.
Timeline: EE research starts towards end of first term
in Y12 Final draft is due tomorrow for Y13
Creativity, Action, Service Experiential learning beyond the
classroom. Students design own programme Must be significant, planned
experiences and development in all three areas
Genuine service Can differentiate students from
others in university applications (especially USA)
How do I help? Think strategically in terms of
university application Make sure that CAS is completed
early on in Year 13 Depth of activity is better than
breadth Discuss if reflections are done at the
end of each term
