General details:

We will have our cell phones with us on the weekend if you need to contact us in case of emergency.

Travel and lodging information:

We will have two pick-up locations on Friday, May 22: Malmo Covenant Church and Tim Hortons/Wendys (North/Water tower end) in Wetaskiwin. On page 3 below, please indicate which location your child will be at for pick up.

**Please make sure students eat supper prior to our departure as we will not stop to pick up food on the way**.

We will return your child to the two pickup locations on the evening of Sunday, May 24, between 7:30 and 8:30pm, possibly earlier. (We will notify you of our Edmonton departure time.)

We are staying at 11603-38th Street, Edmonton, which is Sanctuary Covenant Church (its a housesame place we stayed last year), but we will only be there late evenings and early mornings.

Meals:

We will provide: All Saturday meals Sunday breakfast and lunch

Students Need to Bring:

sleeping bag (and camping mattress if you have one) pillow toiletries (deoderantwe will be limiting showers) Money for snacks, drinks, merchandise, etc. Snacks at Rexall Place are expensive, so

we recommend that you bring your own snacks and drinks which we will keep in the vehicles during the day.

**Money for Sunday supper. (We will be stopping for fast food on the way home.) Cell phone if you have one. This will be useful to stay in touch with each other

throughout the weekend. However, students are responsible for the safekeeping of cell phones (and any other electronics they bring).

Expectations (Guidelines):

YC includes morning and evening sessions which the students must attend. We are all sitting together (tickets are for specific seats).

We will have meeting points at specific times throughout the weekend (lunches and suppers) so that we know everyone is safe and healthy. Students must meet at these designated locations and times.

Students are expected to attend at least two workshops over the weekend. We will follow a buddy system for the weekend. Each student must stay with at least

one other student from the Malmo Youth Group throughout the weekend. No one is to wander around alone. (Students may have to buddy-up with someone who wants to go to the same workshops or side stage events as they do.)

Students must stay within the Rexall Place complex throughout the weekend and should under no circumstances leave the grounds (except of course when we go to the house at night).

Students must dress appropriately throughout the weekend. Modesty and consideration of others is the best guide in this context, since Christians from a variety of backgrounds are present at this event. Pants or shorts (of reasonable length) and t-shirts are suggested for everyone. (Adapted from the YC website.)

Students are expected to show respect to leaders, volunteers, and each other. Behavioral issues will be addressed by calling the students parents to pick up their child in Edmonton.

Parents, please go over these expectations and guidelines with your child.
