Getting hereOur campus is in Dundee city centre and only a 10-minute walk from the bus and train stations. The limited on-street parking is for less than an hour and not suitable for Open Day. Look for AA signage for car parking. Closest is West Bell Street car park, satnav DD1 1EX. Next closest is Bank Street carpark, satnav DD1 1RW.
When you arriveFirst thing to do is check-in. Make your way to the foyer of the Kydd Building.
RefreshmentsRefuel during the day at one of our locations on campus.
Aroma Cafe (ground floor in the Student Centre, the big building directly opposite where you checked-in). Drinks and light snacks available. Open 8.00am - 5.00pm.

That’s OK. An Open Day is all about:
• Getting a taste of a subject– whether it’s right for you.
• Narrowing down which course, within a subject area, you’d be interested in studying.
• Getting a flavour of life as a student at Abertay.
How to spend the dayOpen Days are like a menu – you can pick what you want. The ‘specials of the day’ are:
Scheduled times
• Subject talks and activities such as tours and demos with lecturers and current students.
• General talks – student funding; accommodation; coming from college, sports.
• Tours – campus; library; accommodation.
Drop in
• Advice and information stands.
• Academic School basecamps to talk one-on-one with lecturers and students.

Not Sure What to Do on an Open Day?
Campus Tours | 12.00noon - 5.00pm
Leaving every 30 mins from the Kydd Building Reception. Last tour leaves at 4.30pm.
Duration: 20-30 mins
Our campus is small but perfectly formed. Get a feel for it by taking one of our guided tours.
Library Tours | 12.15pm - 5.00pm Leaving every 30 mins from the Library foyer starting from 12.15am. Last tour leaves at 4.30pm.
Self-guided tours and introductory sessions.
Duration: 20-30 mins
The hub of student life at the University. It’s where our students access extra online information for their courses, use PCs and borrow laptops as well as books. There’s a one-stop-shop for all your queries (Support Enquiry Zone), space for individual, group, quiet and social study, and a café.
Support Enquiry Zone (SEZ)
Part of Library tour.
Your one-stop-shop for any enquiry. Open evenings and weekends, you can ask SEZ anything, and if they can’t help directly, they’ll put you in touch with the specialist service that can. Hear more about SEZ and see where they’re based.
Accommodation | 12.00noon - 5.00pm Rm 1001, Old College BuildingInformation Hub and Tours
Drop in to see 360 views of our student accommodation and chat with our Residence staff on which of the residences might best suit your needs and budget. Gather for accommodation tours, taking place every 30 minutes. First tour starts at 12.00noon , last one leaves 4.30pm. Accommodation tours are bookable on the day. Please attend an Accommodation talk (room 2516 at 12.30pm and room 3004 at 3.00pm) and chat with Residence staff before booking a tour.
