Summary

This is the robot from the icy snowy planet in the Fifth movie and notscreen accurate. Model is finished and print verified. This model is bestprinted at 100% scale on FDM. SLA/SLS - go as small as you'd like. I find onFDM, 120% to 130% scale works really well and all the details show supernicely.

Dec 27, 2017 Update -Added a new bottom which changes theorientation fo the legs and some bottom hardware. Seeinstructions below. Enjoy.

Nov 27, 2017 - Added a new head with a rounded top and better antennanubs. Also added a new body top and a thinner lower body. I removed allthe split heads because the split along the seam on the model - prints wellbut makes it harder to assemble. I would suggest splitting it verticallybetween some of the eyes and then laying that edge to the build plate.

Printing the Model:

Print 3 sets of the LongLeg 1,2 &3 Print 2 sets of the ShortLeg 1 & 2 Print 5 of the claws of any mix and match between the 3 styles Print one head of your choice. Print one body top and one body bottom Print display post with higher infill Print the base - Hoth Assembly: Glue the body top to body bottom. You can align it to the full body oranyway you like. Glue the head parts together.

For the legs, glue the upper and lower and the claw. Position them theway you like and then glue to the bottom body Use the peg to hold the head to the body. This allows the head to spinon the body. You know for that critical missed shot against a big hairymonkey and that bag of mostly salty water named Nan. Glue the display post to the display stand For the long range comm antennas, I did not include them. You shouldtake a piece of filament and heat it up and stretch it out. Cut 2 equallength pieces and glue on the antenna nubs. There's no point intrying to print these since it can't be done.
