Welcome to my brushing challenge! Brush your teeth with fluoride toothpaste at least twice a day, especially after eating breakfast and before bedtime.
Here is your very own brushing chart to hang up athome. Be sure to check off
each time you brush, twice aday, for four weeks. And invite
other members of your family tobrush with you, too!
KIDS: Using crayons or coloredpencils, choose a color to use onthe chart, and choose a differentone for each family member whomay be brushing with you. Checkoff each time you brush and haveyour family make check markswhen they brush with you!

Bright Smiles for the Whole Family!As a parent, you can help your children protect their teeth and gums bymaking sure they brush at least twice a day with fluoride toothpaste,especially after eating breakfast and before bedtime. Brush along with themto make it a fun family event! And remind them to floss daily, too.
1. Place brush at angle along outergumline. Wiggle gently back andforth. Repeat foreach tooth.
2. Brush inside surface of each tooth,using wigglingtechnique in Step 1.
3. Brush chewingsurface of eachtooth.
4. Use tip of brush to brush behind eachfront tooth, both topand bottom.
5. Don’t forget tobrush your tongue!
1. Pull 18” to 24” (45to 60 cm) of dental floss from thedispenser and wrapthe ends around yourmiddle fingers.
2. Hold the flosstightly against eachtooth. Move the flossaway from the gum,gently rubbing thefloss up and downagainst the side of thetooth.
