I welcome you at the International Congress on poultry nutrition.

Poultry feeding is one of the most important production processes that ensures the branch effective-ness and that is based on scientific methods and techniques. Russian and foreign scientists have reached great successes in poultry feeding sphere. Feeding has a great influence on poultry production and poultry breeding economics. That is why feeding problems are the most actual with modern methods of industrial poultry breeding with usage of highly productive poultry lines and crosses.

I note with pleasure the active poultry breeding branch development in Russia where Russian Poultry breeding Union work has played a significant role. Poultry industry enterprises have been first to ensure national food security and have entered world markets with their products. You are the leaders in animal breeding production in Russia.

It is necessary to improve production quality and competitiveness for the branch further development, and this Congress programme is aimed at this task. Some points of further improvement of poultry feeding and management and safety problems will be determined necessarily. It will give a possibility to realize the poultry industry enterprises potential in future.

The Congress must become the main year event in the branch certainly.

I wish all the International Congress participants the creative ideas, new knowledge, interesting discus-sions, strengthening and development of business and scientific connections.
