MOB Moment
It's hard to believe we are already halfway through 2019. How is
that possible? There's still so much to get done. What about all my goals? How will
I ever catch up?
Is this how you feel some days? I do. So what should I do about it? I need to make
a plan and figure out how to execute it in the time I have left.
First I need to realize I am only 1 person and I cannot do the work of 5.
Second I need to write down what is the most important things I want to accom-
plish by the end of 2019. Personally and professionally because they do intertwine.
Third I need to evaluate if I can reasonably accomplished them in the time I have
left.
Fourth I need to decide if I am willing and prepared to do whatever it will take to
see it through to the end and cross the finish line.
If the answer is YES then you will probably be surprised that there is far more
than you imagined on the other side of the finish line.
Sometimes when we set our minds on success and not failure, hope and not doubt we
find ourselves with a mindset very different in the end. Don't delay! Start today!
I pray the second half of 2019 be prosperous, productive and life changing for you
and your family.
Don't delay! Start today!

Blessings and prosperity to everyone,

The MOB/MDA Lock-up
4
It’s time for the Springfield Lock-up. Putting people behind bars for Good! What better to place to start than with the MOB! Names like the Hitmen, Smoking Guns, The Dons and the Godfather scream for justice! But in a fun way! The MOB is participating in MDA Week in the Ozarks, August 26th-September 2nd. The MOB’s Day is Tuesday, August 27th. That day we will be collecting bail money to benefit the Greater Ozarks Chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Every MOB Chapter and member is invited. MDA Week is sponsored by KOLR10 and Fox 5. Soon you will be contacted by an MDA representative asking to attend your weekly meeting and present the program. It’s easy. Please provide names from MOB Businesses. They will be called early in August to “book” them and schedule the best time to turn themselves in. MOB Jailbirds will be equipped with Web Sites to help them make bail and other info. Bricktown Brewery will be providing lunch and refreshments! The MOB Day will be promoted for several weeks and will get great coverage on the day of the event! Security will feature legendary lawman, Barry Fife! A mug shot with Barney Fife will make you an instant hit on FaceBook! The MOB is proud to be part of MDA Week for the second year. Thank you for supporting MDA and the fight against muscle disease and ALS!

Victory Mission Victory Mission is a faith driven organization that provides emergency relief through outreach services and long-term empowerment through programming and social enterprise. Our History: Victory Mission began in 1976 when Rev. and Mrs. Everett Cook saw the needs of the homeless in Downtown Springfield. Their initial efforts included the distribution of sandwiches and coffee from the back of their station wagon. Today the Outreach arm of Victory Mission includes a food pantry, evening feeding program, senior luncheon, Thanksgiving/Christmas baskets and back-to-school supplies. Over the years, the organization has moved beyond outreach to focus on empowerment through intentional programs and emergency shelters. Victory Square provides a safe space for individuals facing homelessness with the help they need to get back on their feet through recovery programs and job training. SingleMomzRock provides resources for single parents and encouragement to a network of women through monthly meetings and occasional special events. A number of social enterprises helps to create employment opportunities for members of Victory Mission + Ministry’s programs. These ventures not only provide hands-on experience and fair living wages for different individuals, they also allow Victory Mission to become more sustainable as an organization. Our Mission: We share God’s love through intentional relationships for the restoration of a brokenhearted world. Our Vision: Every life has a purpose Volunteer: So many in our community are hungry, hurting, and facing homelessness. By partnering with Victory Mission as the hands and feet of our ministry, you can help restore lives while serving and building intentional relationships. With this hope, Springfield will begin to see restoration! Contact us to learn more about volunteering with Victory Mission or to register as a group!
