We. th«* undersij:ne«l. being of infirm mind and body do iiereby proclaim this as oiir siiici*ie pact. After a seemingly iniieterminaide period of ed it ing. managing, proof reading, composing. pimctiiating. an*l catering to llie \a r ied idiosy ncracies of our fellow workers, we feel that life no longer holils the attraction it held for us previously. We are bitter, itrooding an*i cynical. Despots, witli minds de- forme*! by an excess knowledge of news. Nothing is new any more! i t ’s the same old story all the time. . . .So an*i so does siicli and sucii; Mrs. \\ iio- «ioyoucalllier came iiere today. . . .iioy Meets (i irl . . . .(’.anipiis Big Shot. . . .C.ampus Little Siiot. . . .Dean *»f W iio- *»/.is. . . l*r*»fessor W liatsiz. . .and reams of similar titivatiiig *lrivel. What’s tiie sense of living wiien life bec*>mes a itore.

Tiierefore: we state on the six- teentii day of June. Anno Domini nine- t«*en forty five we will with tiie aiil of a tiiirty-two caliiier revolver now in possession of one of the staff memiters.< He is willing t*» part with it f*>r sixteen dollars) sho*»i each other in turn till finally tiie editor left alone will c*)iiimit sewer si*le. The reas*»n f*>r tliis procedure is s*> that the iieirs of the future de*'eased will be able to c*)llect insurance, since they have been technically mur*iered. The se- •pieiice t*> be followed will be tleler- mineil by the picking of straws (the editor is naturally exem pt) . I’rior to our demise we will make a colle*-- tion to insure tiie removal of the cadavers so as not to trouide the janit*>rs of tiie building. All interested *>bser- \e r s may attend the occasion for a nominal fee. ( italcony seats S2.K), Orciiestra S3.60). This fee will aid in covering the cost of removal.

I.et tiiis siiort document ite our parting knell a warning to the rem ain ing sane iiumans. We idame only *»urselves for the ii*>peless predicament we have pla*-ed *>urselves in and we truly believe tiiat we are saving the world from a great catastrophe by the fiilfillnieni of our pact.

Bids are out to the various l*»cal radi*t stati*ins f*>r the j*d> of completely soundprotiiing tiie tiieatre. This will probably be necessary in lieu of the fact tiiat Pennsylvania freight trains will have a rigiil of way ihoroughfare across tiie proposed top balcony. Special reduced rale tickets will be sold tor the seals in liiis iial- cony.

Anoliier proposed change to be made on liie campus is a shuttle itus to l»e run from ( ’.iiesinul Street to tiie iaidlow Street entrance of ilie .Student Building. Tiiis comes in re- ply to tiu* many complainls from Mrs. .Sawituck that siie bales itt make the girls run over to her oHice for anything as uniinporlaii l as an excuse for absence. She would gladly dis. coiilinue this practice but liien lliere wouldn't lie anytiiiiig left for her to do but liold the stakes uii the lounge i*ridge games and so much money all day huig in lier hands makes her nervous.

At the end of every term, the exact n u merical average of every stii«ient will lie calculated in the usual manner. \ f te r this has been iloiie. however, is

where the cliange comes in. In view of the fail that liaving stuilenis fail a course may i»e disconcert ing to the pr*ifessors as w**ll as lb** slud**nls. such will not be possible in the future. Beginning this term, the lowest average of any sliideni in liie class will ite taken as the grade of 70. Ail the oilier grailes will then be a*ijusted accordingly .

It is hopeii that this new system will e lim inate liie possil»ilily of any student leaving school iiecause lie failed too many sulijects. 1‘aculty m em bers have been complaining because liiey cannot sleep ( T k i a n m . e

Although that “ forgotten riass.” the February Freshmen is often lost in the maze of Drexel’s sorial and srhol- astie pattern, things do go on just the same. One of these things, whetlier the bewildered freshmen are aware of it or not. is Spring Term Sorority Rushing whieh is ahout to take place. The word “ rushing” is a misiioiiier in this case for artually no rushing takes place as compared to the teas and parties of W inter Term. However, freshmen who have heen at Drexel one term will have tiie «)pportuiiity to pledge and jo in stirorities.

To join a sorority the freshmen must have a scholastic average ol 78 with no failures on her record and no more than tme c<»ndition. .Any girl with a failure may neither he rushed nor pledged. By the word “ pledge” is meant a promise to join a sorority in the ftuui t»f a written acceptance to memhership.

On Friday April 20, each sorority turns in tt> i’rofessor Vi ill iams hy <)ne o’clock a list of tlie girls they wisli to hi«l. The following Monday these girls will receive a form on which they state the sorority they prefer. These “ preferential slips” must he returned to Professor Williams the same day. By 1;3(( on Tuesday each sorority receives the names ot their rushees who staled a preference tor that part icular sorority and hy o’clock Wednesday m orning bids will be placed in the mail boxes by each individual sorority. This rushing is of i'ourse not limited to Ireshmen but also includes any upperclassmen who fulllll the scholastic re»iuirments.
